This is my 4th stay at this hotel before a cruise. It has been consistently nice. From the staff to the amenities. It is not far from a beautiful Park that you can walk through or around. The breakfast had good choices
The purpose of our visit was for a cruise out of the Miami cruise port. Our good experience started with a shuttle bus that came to us at the airport on demand within 15 minutes. The driver was pleasant and helpful and even pointed out places where we could eat along the way. Check-in was handled quickly and efficiently. We entered a room that had a comfortable temperature, with air conditioning working well and not loud. The room was a good size and comfortable. The only problem we had was with the remote control for the TV, which needed new batteries. They came quickly and fixed that for us. I feel this place deserves five stars because of its pool, shuttle, and hot breakfast. Some places are leaving their pool closed “because of Covid.” The shuttle takes you to and from the airport on demand, not by a schedule as some hotels do. Breakfast has plenty of offerings, including hot eggs, sausage links, and sausage patties. They have cereals and fruit, too. The muffins were large. The only thing missing among the amenities was a hot tub, which we would have liked. We were quite happy with this hotel for one night and will return at the end of our stay in Florida before we fly home.…
The Hotel is situated in the middle of Miami Shores and near Bal Harbour. Driving distance of course. We had a nice stay, not the greatest building, needs updating. However, Daphine at the front desk is really nice, helpful and is the person to seek when you arrive. Very understanding and greets you pleasantly. We did have a few minor issues, but she was very attentive and accommodating with our minor concerns.
It was an ok hotel I suppose. It served the purpose that we had booked it for. We flew into Miami from UK, knew we were arriving late in the evening so decided to pick the hire car up the next day and just needed somewhere to lay our heads. Hotel rooms a little tired but bed comfy, towels good and shower excellent! Breakfast is included but was off plastic plates with plastic cutlery . . . Pillows were like marshmallows though which is a strange experience. They do offer a free shuttle bus though which took us to the car rental place the following morning so not all bad.
When I got to the hotel, at 11:00 PM, even though i presented all the pre-paid reservation information, the front desk insisted that she had to charge me the full stay plus deposit. It took 15-30 minutes and my refusal to pay until se "found" my payment. The other thing is that I stayed for two nights, and THEY NEVER CLEANED THE ROOM. So when i came back at night the bed and bathroom were exactly as I left them 9 am. Would not stay there again, the room was ok, but the service is awful.

We needed a place to brush up on the kids swim skills and safety before our spring break cruise. The indoor pool was a must in case of rain on our one prep day in port. We did not fly into MIA, but would definitely do so next time and gladly stay here again.
We would not recommend this hotel although near to airport. The room has not been maintained and there was a jagged piece of metal partially detached at the bottom of the bathroom door which cut my husbands foot deeply. We rang reception which eventually arrived. (The staff member was polite) but the first aid kit was woefully inadequate and had not been replenished for some time. She had to go away to find the items she needed and then used some of our gear. No maintenance officer came and the first aid lady put some selotape over the metal (hopeless) and we were left to wonder if that would be the repair. On departure no mention of the incident was made to us or any apology.
I want to like this BW. This is our second time staying here and our room did not smell like last time. What caused my poor review was the airport shuttle. I called the hotel as instructed and was told the shuttle driver was ‘on a break’ and he would arrive in 30 minutes. Thirty minutes later I called again and was told that the driver will come and pick us up ‘some time tonight’. He really couldn’t tell me anything and said I should get an Uber. Very disappointing experience.
The breakfast was great with a good variety. The staff was very friendly and polite. However, both of these were overshadowed by the horrible dampness and smell that was within the entire building, leaving you with the overwhelming feeling of uncleanliness. The price seemed expensive though comparable to the surrounding hotels. Though I recommend staying elsewhere.
