I booked this hotel because it was close to the airport and had shuttle service and I had to be at the airport at 7am. The guy checking us in was super rude and sarcastic whenever I asked a question. He said he’d call me when my room was ready, didn’t ask my number though. I came back to get my room (which had been ready for a while, no call) and ask him about the shuttle. He said it’s only available after 3, when I said I only booked here for the shuttle, what am I supposed to do, he said “take it up with Priceline”. We get to the room and I need to insert the keycard to turn on the light, after many attempts I finally flagged down housekeeping who had to slam the sensor for it to work. Breakfast was omelettes and bread.
Excellent hotel , close to the airport but not bothered by noise, breakfast was very good and staff helpful, short walk to train/Metro system to take you to downtown Miami, only downside was the pool was not very clean. No evening food available and a lack of local eateries but on the other side of the two petrol/gas stations, less than 100 yards away was a fast food van selling Burgers, Pizza and mexican style food , run by one man with one assistant and helped by his daughter, which served great food at a fair price and with a great manner, really would like to recomend but I cannot remember the name. If you can help let me know and I will post on here. Cheers.
Having arrived MIA on a late international flight there were no flights offered to our final destination until the next day, so it was necessary for us to find a hotel near the MIA Airportl The Holiday Inn Express is an older, but clean & well maintained hotel. The best thing about the hotel though is their wonderful, helpful, personable, friendly, & knowledgeable staff. We can't say enough about how welcomed they made us feel. Plus, the breakfast the following morning was surprisingly good (a lot better than other 'free breakfast hotels' that we've stayed at before). We definitely recommend the hotel to others & would stay there again.
The hotel needs some updating for sure. The rooms were very basic with dirty carpeting and most of the hotel needed some general repairs. We only chose this hotel because we wanted to have an easy way to the Port of Miami for boarding a cruise and it did provide free excellent ground transportation to the port. The transportation to the port was great, no issues. We also appreciated the free breakfast and coffee.
We had to leave our Naples hotel early due to hurricane Ian & picked this hotel at short notice. Wow staff were excellent with the influx of people fleeing Ian. Staff were amazing and a credit to the hotel. Rooms very comfortable & had all amenities, esp at short notice for many. Breakfast was excellent, with hot & cold foods. Well done everyone, it was obvious that you was very busy on small numbers but you smashed it & we would definitely stay at this hotel again, big thanks you were amazing
On our first visit last week, the two young ladies at the desk made the day! I'm giving 5 stars based upon just those two hard working individuals. We showed up way before check-in but they still got us a room and upgraded us to boot (Spire Elite). They helped us get our adult "kids" picked up at the airport. They took a lot of stress out of our stay! No problems, no issues, no concerns. Great night on our way to the Keys. Everything was PERFECT! Yesterday, on our way home, we showed up way before check-in again, hotel staff got us in a room while it was still time for guests to check out. No upgrade, no biggie, was just thrilled to get a room so early. Early this morning my rental vehicle was tagged with a sticker indicating my vehicle could be towed due to being illegally being parked. When I checked-in I was not given a parking tag. I asked the front desk for cleaning supplies to remove the sticker and was given what was needed. Pros: Very clean, great pool area, helpful staff, very close to the airport and rental car return, good breakfast Cons: Aircraft noise, limited dining selection within walking distance, no coffee in lobby after breakfast and give the guests parking tags so they vehicles are not getting stickered for being illegally parked!…
Our rooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Unfortunately, the halls were very noisy the night that we stayed there with kids yelling in the hallways until 3 am. The continental breakfast was unexceptional but did offer a number of options. Due to the close proximity to the airport, I would stay here again.
This Holiday Inn met expectations for the brand. The location was right next to the airport, so you might hear planes landing. The room was very clean and the bathroom was better than most similar inns. Breakfast was limited but typical of this brand. I would stay again. The only negative is the parking fee of $15 that was charged.
I would never come back here again. I'm a Spire Elite with IHG for many years, so I know what a good HIE should be like. This place is a disaster! Coming in I asked for a room if not on the first floor, at least near the elevator. So what did they give me? The room was on the opposite side of the building from the elevator! When I came back asking them to do better they were all silent like, "What a pain this guy is!" Didn't say anything, but you could guess. The room they gave me has multiple careless patches on the woodwork, shower bench and tile falling apart, sink faucet with a long screw for a handle - no kidding!! Just ridiculous! These folks obviously just don't care. On top of everything else the airport aircraft noise here is horrendous, ear plugs definitely needed. STAY FAR AWAY!…
We stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff was fine no problems there. Unfortunately it’s right in the flight path and it was loud all night. The bathroom lights were really bad, so you had to put your makeup on in the hallway. There were no towels at the pool. We had to hunt some down from the cleaning staff. There are no restaurants anywhere near the hotel. We also booked adjoining rooms and they didn’t accommodate our reservation. Overall not a great experience.
