A warm and since greeting using the guests name. Listen to the guests requests. Offer exactly what’s available and smile. I thought I had checked into a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and all because of Monique. Travel is a function of business, and when all you need is what you expect, it is a surprise when you receive just that. And at a hotel which as others have mentioned is not “The newest” hotel at the airport. But that’s not what’s important to me, it’s exactly what Monique offered. Thank you. Also a special mention to the Housekeeping team who are so proud of “Their hotel”,and did everything they could to make me feel a welcome guest in their home.
After being placed in the close by Sonesta by American Airlines (due to a cancelled flight), and having an awful stay… I asked to be moved to an alternative accommodation and when I heard Sheraton as an option I jumped at the opportunity!! I’ve stayed in Sheratons across the North America and they never disappoint! Consistently friendly and attentive customer service agents, clean & modern rooms, good facilities and nice dining areas! I made great use of the pool, which overlooked a local golf course (made for a lovely people watching spot) and this experience really cheered me up after my flight was cancelled and couldn’t be rebooked for another 2 days! The hotel also has a shuttle bus that takes you to the airport for free!!! Only downside is the lack of veggie and vegan options on the food menus !! Otherwise a wonderful stay and I would stay here again no problem :)…
The rooms are not bad as long as you get past the 80's decor. Upon check-in I was assigned room 1035 as the reservation is for an Executive Lounge room which included bottled water. Once I got to the room it was comfy but the water that was included in the reservation was missing. I figure I will go to the lounge for a water and some snacks only to not be able to swipe in to the lounge. Trip down to the lobby where they were able to reprogram my card. Go down to breakfast and I get the theme but it is a little over the top. I was seated for breakfast and told about he buffet (hot and cold) and I was provided a menu for al a carte. I realize I am dining at a hotel but at $21 for the cold buffet and $31 for the hot buffet is a little out of line even for Miami. Most of the hotels provide for a buffet (hot and cold) for about $20-25 dollars. So I turn to the al a carte menu which is kinda on the slim side but I ordered a veggie omelet which came with potatoes and whole wheat toast with peanut butter. Ahhh breakfast arrives. Immediately you can tell the omelet was over cooked and as flat as a pancake. The breakfast potatoes were raw. The toast was really just stale bread, no warmth or color to it. I declined to eat the omelet and potatoes but went a head and had toast to hold me till lunch. The waitress (Josefina) saw there was an issue and I bluntly told her the cook needed to go back to cooking school and that didn't please her. So I finish my toast and coffee and leave to go to work. I can't get out of the parking lot, neither my key or electronic key work. Have to park and go back into the hotel. I met the front desk staff and told them the service wasn't up to the standards (my room is almost $300 a night) and run down all the issue I have had. Not much empathy from him. When I mention the water he said they were having issues getting water supplied. I thought really, the lounge seem to have no problem. I get back to the hotel and go to the executive lounge and have a snack till dinner. Executive Lounge is the shine on the hotel. But when I left and was heading to my room there was the smell of sewage that hit you in the face. I start day two by writing this review. It isn't as bad as the DoubleTreem Miami Airport but it isn't the Hilton Downtown either. …
I checked into the room today and the room smells so bad. I contacted the front desk and was told there is nothing they can do because they are sold out and that there are no cleaning people at left. The person wouldn't even come upstairs to smell what I was talking about so they could document it doe management. They said all I can do is go to the desk in the morning. That is horrible customer servixe. If it is mildew and I have to inhale that all night ks very unsafe. I am extremely disappointed.
Reasonably priced pre/post flight hotel just a short shuttle from MIA airport. Hotel looks a little dated inside so don't expect a glitzy hotel but the beds were fine and the noise level low, plus shuttle service to/from the airport every 15 minutes on a 24 hr basis. Dining available though we didn't have time to check it out. Have another stay in 3 months so may have time to check out the bar, breakfast, etc.
We were heading for Jamaica on December 23rd and were diverted and delayed due to bad weather, missing all flights to MBJ on the 23rd. The wonderful lady at the AA rebooking desk got us out the next day and gave us a voucher for the Sheraton for an overnight stay. From our shuttle driver to Faith at check-in to Angel and the Chef at Rickenbackers for breakfast, everyone was wonderful. All were friendly, helpful and professional and our room was spotless with good amenities. They made our delayed Jamaica journey much more bearable.
We had a 3 night stay in October. We chose this because of its proximity to the car rental centre. The rental centre is right across the road, the Amtrak station is also there, as well as the MIA shuttle. The free shuttle was not a long wait at all. The staff at check in were fast and efficient. We got a great deal on the club level, so we had access to the club lounge. There was plenty of food and drinks available at all times. The room as clean, the bed was comfy. The was a great view over the golf course and of the Miami skyline. There was an on-site restaurant and a gift shop. The two issues we had. 1. We were not told that you had to request housekeeping, even if you put the sign on the door. So the first day our room was not made up 2. There was some maintenance being done of the elevators, so that caused some lengthy delays going up and down. Other than that, we had a great day. Should we be back in Mimi some day we will be back here.…
The hospitality industry has taken a nosedive since COVID, so I always expect to be disappointed in an overpriced hotel, but this hotel was clean and well staffed with friendly faces. The room was spacious and very clean and the A/C worked great. The bed was somewhat comfortable, but the bedframe squeaked every time you move around while sleeping. The decor needs an update. It looks like it was partially renovated because some things don't really match in the room. Free bottled water is a plus. I don't book at hotels unless they have the free airport shuttle, so that's a positive. Having the river view was nice to sit outside, but the horrible smell from the dumpsters drove us back inside in just a few minutes.
i had my flight early in the morning, the reason I booked an hotel at the Airport. This hotel is perfect for stop and go. The room was large, with all modern comforts but is wass not clean. The prices are vey high.
Very nice hotel next to the airport, which was perfect for us, since we had our Transfer to our boat the next day from the airport. Hotel offers free shuttle service. Rooms espacious and good, complementary water in the room. Staff friendly. Nice pool-area and bars and restaurant
