For our pre-cruise night, we chose the Eurostars Langford. We arrived around 7:00pm. Our room was a Junior Suite with a Queen bed. -Hotel & room décor - Historic bank building converted so architecture has character. Rooms have modern décor and plenty of outlets. Room has wood floors and tile in the bathroom so there’s not much sound dampening. Be prepared to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Bath has a pedestal sink and a narrow ledge running the width of the bathroom wall but zero counter space otherwise. Bathroom floor is sloped down to a drain and expect water from the very large walk-in glass shower to run out onto the floor. -Room size & features - Large room. Bed was extremely firm and pillows were not supportive - definitely not anything to rave about. Other furniture included desk, flat screen TV with DirecTV, foot of the bed trunk, floating shelf nightstands, and a good size closet. No seating other than desk chair so not a comfortable room for extended stays. -Hotel restaurant was closed due to COVID. -Speed of free wifi was excellent. -Hotel location & proximity to shopping & dining - Located in historic downtown Miami which was pretty empty at night. We saw a few pizza places nearby, the Miami Diner (where we ate breakfast), and Greek bistro Meraki (where we ate dinner), but otherwise wasn't much else around that would appeal to tourists. -Price - Very reasonable for a large metropolitan city. If you’re looking for an economical choice and willing to give up some comforts found in today’s typical chain hotels, this might be a good option for you. Just wasn’t my particular cup of tea.…
Sure it’s a nice looking hotel , but failed to deliver on two things important to me. #1 Coffee- No coffee packets in the room and an over complicated coffee maker. And 2. A mini frig that is not working. Imagine my surprise when I went to retrieve my daughter’s medication from the frig and found the refrigerator was warm and medication warm. A call to the front desk was useless, total waste. So at 6am I load my daughter in her wheelchair and go down to the front desk to get coffee and give the the medication to store. Really?! Like you couldn’t hall your butt up to the fifth floor????? Tried to cancel my return visit to this disappointment of a hotel but it’s non refundable and they won’t budge.
This was a great place to spend the night before embarking on a cruise. Traffic from the airport was not bad; reasonable for the time of day. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was sparsely decorated which is what I like; nothing fancy but enough for the 2 of us. It is located in downtown Miami close to many restaurants (including vegan) with a CVS and Whole Foods in easy walking distance. It was close enough to walk to the ship! (1/2 hour walk). The only downside was the coffee machine wouldn't work and the staff seem to already know that.....weird....but I will stay there again.
It was clean and I enjoyed the boutique feel to it. The drinks at the bar are limited in variety but still good. I really enjoyed the rooftop bar because the view was amazing. The valet isn't always fast because they are busy and only have 1 and sometimes 2 guys working, so definitely give them a heads up call and they will get your car and you won't have to wait.
While Uber was taking us their from the airport, good driver. Then we turned on 1st se, their were people living on the side of the streets, women of the evening trolleying the street and in front of this hotel. We went in and had to wait a little , then we keep looking around and seeing the elevators going up and down with men and women from out front of this hotel. they were charging us$250.00 a night. What you do, leave and call Hotels .com and report this to them, they understood and refunded our money, they said they had some reports of this going on. NEVER<NEVER,NEVER again
