I really enjoyed the experience at East Hotel it is the third time that we came back And I hope to return again soon The staff is great, the ckeck in is great too..to sum up the service is Excelent The location is perfect close to many restaurants around
In Miami for the weekend and decided to give EAST a try for the first time. Was a bit unsure due to a few reviews commenting on rudeness from the staff. I'm glad I stayed and decided to judge for myself. Every staff member from check in to check out were very professional and accommodating to any request we had. It's a pricey property with a cool vibe. Room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Location is excellent. I'll be visiting again the next time I'm in Florida.
Horrible service. Worst check in experience I’ve ever had. Upon check in, a Latin female receptionist was very ignorant and argumentative. I paid for a residence with a balcony, she placed me on the 8th floor in a room with no balcony (This should never happen, any country I’ve traveled I’ve received the room I paid for!). I immediately returned to the lobby to complain. She had the audacity to tell me I was wrong and that every room in the hotel has a balcony (I must have no idea what a balcony is??). Her higher up overheard the disagreement and corrected her by saying MOST rooms have a balcony. She was visibly upset and did not want to correct her mistake. She told him to fix it “because she couldn’t”. He puts me on the 27th floor. Latin receptionist makes weird comment about how “that’s her favorite room” in an upset tone… whatever.. I go to the 27th floor and call the front dest to request a robe… the same woman answers and claims she sent the request for the robe but said robe never arrived. I called the next morning and a different person answered, like magic my robe is at my door in minutes. This person made my trip less than desirable. Horrible customer service for $2k. Do not stay here unless you like bad service. Overall never had such bad service at a place that claims to be a 4 star hotel. Take your money elsewhere where you are appreciated. There is no reason why I should need to demand things or have to make multiple requests. Employees should not have any type of negative feelings towards a guest who has done nothing but request what they paid their money for. Do not let the pictures fool you, they treat you like they’re doing you a favor by letting you stay there when we are the paying customer doing them a favor.…
After a long journey we had a very warm welcome by the hotel staff. Especially Lee took care of us and even made sure that we got an upgrade to a gorgeous corner room on the 30th floor with spectacular views. The room was spacious and clean and had a rather large balcony which was great. We would recommend the hotel every day to our friends and family.
I would not bring my children for a stay here, but my husband and I spent one night here before flying to the Caribbean. It was awesome. It's very modern and we loved the control panels in the rooms. The elevator control panels were cool too. We arrived a lot earlier than their check in time. But the staff held our luggage for us. We were able to go to the connected mall and do some shopping and have lunch. The hotel staff sent us a text when the room was ready about an hour later, and it was still earlier than their check in time. The guest room was beautiful and worth every penny. We had a king corner room on the 32nd floor. It was AMAZING! They provided robes and slippers and a stocked bar. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. We loved everything about this hotel. They have the monetary business practices that you would expect to see at a 5 star hotel; deposit for incidentals and nightly parking, so get your coins ready.…
Pro: location. It sits right on top of Miami’s newest mall with plenty of choices for food, coffee and shopping. It also has easy access to the north area of the city (Wynwood and Design District) with 15min Uber rides, a Metro Mover station right next to it, and even 20min Uber ride to Miami beach. Pool are seemed interesting but we didn’t use it. Gym is decent, even though of the 4 Peloton, just 1 actually worked, lacking maintenance. Definitely not a hotel for families, its unwelcoming and cold, it’s a wannabe hip hotel for wannabes. Cons: nearly everything else. (1) Customer service: nonexistent. There’s zero service, staff are not rude they just ignore everyone. I think it’s because they hire inexperienced personnel and might not pay well. They are all unwilling, unmotivated and just seem to want to make you disappear. Front desk features a few young ladies that, for example, charged me 200 USD more than the actual cost and couldn’t understand why when I asked, when I returned to check-in again after a short travel inside the US, it was the worst check-in in my life: cold, transactional and seeming to make me a favor to accept my 2500 USD I was paying to stay there for a few days. (2) Room: small, not practical, just a small box in this large building. (3) Bathroom: shower has low water pressure and bad toiletries.…
Love the design of the lobby of this hotel, with a heart mickey mouse gesture. The room is clean and modernly design, and spacious. Most importantly, the agent helped us checked in welcome us with warm greetings. Agent Lee is super helpful, help us upgrade the room for free, and give us small welcome gifts during the check-in. I would like to stay in this hotel again, and hopefully being helped by the same agent.
East never disappoints, from the moment you make your reservation to check-in, guest services and housekeeping the staff and property are first class, as a hotelier myself I understand what this takes and its done well. I've used this hotel for work and staycations (I live in Florida) and they have been so constant with their service. Georgios, the guests services manager is a gem, always helpful with anything you need and has great recommendations, a true delight.
The billing issue made this hotel 1 star. After I checked out, I was charged 30 dollar on the card on file. I called the hotel and the agent told me because I used a bottle of beer and some kind of condom kit. First, I’m very aware that Swire hotels use the sensor in the fridge so I didn’t even touch it because I’m not planning to use it. Second, I had absolutely no idea where is that kid in the room so it is impossible for me to consume it. The agent had no idea why there are those charges on my folio. As we can see here, there is serious management issue in this hotel. It might happen to other guests. Although it is only 30 dollar, but if I didn’t see it, I got ripped off. I understand it is just the East hotel, not a house collection, but it would not even happen at a La Quinta Suite hotel. Shame on you, East Miami.…
Is my second visit after the opening of this hotel. Overall, the hotel is great. Excellent location and nice room. Service is exceptional. Li assisted us to check in and offered so much help. He is friendly and very professional. The black male at the front desk(I forgot his name) is very nice too. He went extra mile to help us out.
