Don't expect too much, then you'll be fine. We stayed in a deluxe room (above Tapas y Tintos restaurant), which was very basic but clean. Those people complaining about cleanliness stayed in the standard rooms, or maybe even in the hostel rooms I guess? But anyway, don't get fooled by the pictures on the hotels website, I don't know which...

If you are looking for a clean hotel, with all the comforts and above all that is in a quiet .... well ....in that case this hotel is not for you! The hotel has rooms spread over several buildings in the neighborhood of Espanola way and above all with windows overlooking the main room of the area. This means noise...

I stayed four nights with my girlfriend last November. Rooms are small and smelly, bathrooms are filthy. I also spotted bugs on the rug. Further, the building is located in a very noisy area, so if you are given a room on the first floor, just ask for another one on the second as you will not sleep. Our room...

Ok it was my first trip to Miami and I was super excited. When my friends and I aarived at The Clay Hotel it looked nice inside by the reception area and I was also enthused about the cafe that was attached to it. So I was impressed until we got to the rooms. Uhhhhh, they were terrible. Old uncomfortable...

I have been staying at the Clay for over 15 years. I have had mostly good experiences, and occasionally not so good. In any case, the Clay feels like an old friend. It makes travel to the dazzling deco district of South Miami Beach affordable - and fun. Since the Clay is linked the one the the Miami Beach youth...

We came to South Beach for the weekend and stayed at The Clay Hotel. Granted it we were right on Washington two blocks over from the beach and right in the middle of nightlife so the location is excellent! The rooms suck thou! We had a double bed "family room" but it was small the carpet was dusty and dingy...

When visiting Miami Beach, I always stay at The Clay. It's a nice clean no frills hotel. I'm here for the city, and just need a nice clean place to lay my head. The only caveat is to make sure you get a room in one of the adjoining buildings. I stayed here both before and after a cruise. The...

I stayed here for a few nights a while ago - I was staying in the hotel part not the hostel part. I have a single room with a shared bathroom. The room was very clean, comfy bed had TV, fridge etc. The hotel is in a pretty good location with restaurants and bars right on your door step and...

Just got back from four days at the Clay and after reading some of the reviews I was scared. I have to say- all in all- for the price I was very pleased. It was clean and pretty much what I expected. The people at the desk don't greet you with a smile but I guess that's what you get...
