Booked Raleigh hotel mid-December '17 for a stay early February '18. Saw on an interior designers Instagram page that the hotel wouldn't open until '19 so I inquired. They assured me it would open and the interior designer...More

We came here second time because its the only hotel that we knew of had chilled pool. The daytime reception service is great. The nighttime however was very uncomfortable. The rooms on pictures look 5 star but in reality its more like a motel 6...More
Enjoyed my 5 night stay of a last minute trip to Miami at The Raleigh. Had a spacious room. Loved the boutique style. Not overcrowded. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. My on gripes are the fee for bike rental which should be included...More

They are EXTREMELY different hotels, so it depends upon your taste. The Fontainebleau is massive, bustling and luxurious, with a posh spa, multiple restaurants and a gazillion guests and staff members who will cater to your every need. It is also pretty far up the beach, so if you want to go to where the action is (Lincoln Road Mall, with its shops and countless outdoor cafes and movie theater, and Ocean Drive) you need to drive there and park. The Raleigh is more of a boutique hotel, with a gorgeous art deco pool, a poolside bar and restaurant, valet parking, etc. It is tight on the beach and is within a short walk of the destinations above. No spa, no crowds, no commotion. Both hotels are fab. I have never been in the rooms at the Fountainebleau, but I far prefer the Raleigh. But that's me.
The Raleigh has their own parking. You can come and go as you please as many times as you like, the valet attendants are quick. The hotel charges approx. 45.00 a day or so. It does sound like a lot for parking, but if... More
The Raleigh has their own parking. You can come and go as you please as many times as you like, the valet attendants are quick. The hotel charges approx. 45.00 a day or so. It does sound like a lot for parking, but if you use public street parking or municipal lots, be prepared to walk a lot.
