Rented this room from Vrbo.. got a room on the second floor, the resort itself isn’t kept up well. Staff isn’t very friendly in the resort and the rooms are decent. Only two sets of washers and dryers on the lobby floor, when there are 17 floors. I’ve machine charges for ice and literally gives you a few ice cubes.. the best part about our trip was the beach and the beach chairs and umbrellas provided by the owners we were renting from. The beachside staff were really nice but that was the only good thing about this resort. The beach is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and clean.. Will definitely not be back to this resort and isn’t worth the $2800 we spent for one week..

We stayed at Millie's condo with luv it at the beach! We had a great time! Parking is not the best for oversized vehicles but they do have plenty of parking for most. Curtis the beach attendant was great and always helped us out everytime we came down from the condo. He would update us with better chair options and helped take care of us when we wanted to rent a kayak. Bon fires on Monday and Friday nights! I was a little disappointed the pool tiki bar was not open but am I really going to complain.... I was at da beach mon!!!

The condo we rented (1008) was nicely appointed, the elevators were super quick, the staff very friendly, ample parking in the garage which was nice to get into a car that was in the shade versus one in the outside parking lot, however the lobby, laundry area, furniture and hallways reminded me of a 80's college dorm. I was mildly confused why there was a coded gate to get to the beach AND a security guard standing at the gate. There is access to the beach via a bridge from the resort that goes over the boulevard which was nice if you were not carrying very much but you definitely needed to use the gated entrance if you looked like the Beverly Hillbillies going to the beach. The bridge entrance is easily 4 flights of stairs to the beach, but you do pass through a very convenient bar! Prices weren't horrible given the fact that its ON THE BEACH! Win, Win!! Miramar itself is not a bad little community, kinda quiet but within short driving distance to plenty of shops and restaurants.

This was a subpar stay for my family and I. We spent one night in unit 1503. Our view was amazing and totally worth the premium price! However, with the exorbitant price and the crazy cleaning fees I expect an immaculate unit.

I can deal with older decor and furniture, but I cannot abide by filthy floors! We had to wear our sandals or socks because our feet stuck to the tile and were dirty black and sandy. We did not track this in with us, as we drove 6 hours from Louisiana and didn’t arrive until 9:00 pm!

There were sticky food and beverage stains and dirty spots, hairs that weren’t ours in corners of all the rooms in our unit, there was food crumbs in our shower, it did not look like our towels were switched out- they had hair on them that wasn’t ours and wrinkles like they were previously used, our master bedroom pillow cases had the dirt and face oils from the previous occupants. It was pretty gross!

Not many people wore masks or social distances despite the face masks required signs.

The PROS: The VIEW was STUNNING!! The beds were comfortable, but I recommend bringing your own pillows, bedding, and towels. Fully stocked kitchen- wash everything first before using.

So great location, comfy beds in an aged building, with dirty old furniture and filthy floors.

We choose to focus on the great location and views, but just wanted people to NOT expect cleanliness as a priority.

(we stayed at one of the little villas around a pond near the "resort") room wasnt even cleaned when we got here. half the lights were burned out or didn't work, images on the site looked nothing like the room. pond was dirty and reeked the room, drippy sinks, the shower head was extremely gritty, paint peeling everywhere. chairs and couches were dirty and were covered by a sheet to hide it. weird brown-black substance in one of the bathtubs. possible mold in air conditioner and all over the balcony, some of the legs on the bed were replaced by brick. there were some untouched, clean parts of the room at least, our room was obviously the only one that wasn't maintained, we had to stay there because they didnt allow us to refund our money.

We stayed here on our honeymoon in 1998. Returned to celebrate our 25th anniversary. It’s not as good as it was in 98.

The vacasa rental company is not good. They had about 10 people ready to mutiny on the Sunday afternoon of checkin because of lack of customer service.

The condo was nice but the small things were overlooked (kitchen utensils, tv remote batteries, light bulbs out, etc)

Free beach service is nice but you’re a 2nd class citizen. Owners get the front row and are mostly not present. So too many umbrellas make for a crowded beach with no one there and you’re on the 2nd or 3rd row and can’t see the ocean because of their empty umbrellas

I visit here often. My major complaint is the roaches and the customer service you receive from the front desk operated by Vacasa As a regular guest at Surfside Resort I have to say things are going downhill. The roaches are all over the place. The front desk staff has no idea about anything going on as far as property upkeep. When I complained twice about the washer and dryers they told me they were never told about the out of order machines that have been out of order for a month. The list goes on save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.

This is our first day here and we will NOT come back. You are not allowed to sit in the water with your chairs due to owners getting priority of the beach in front of their chairs. We are allowed on the second row and on the back. I didn’t know owners owned the beach as well 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very clean, very comfortable! Would definitely stay here again. We didn't swim in the pool or the hot tub..maybe next time. The bonfire on fridays and monday is nice. We stayed in 1401a. It was small, but perfect for 2 people. Fully furnished!

Booked reservations 30 days in advance. Called 5 times to confirm all paper work was in order. Have credit card statement showing reservation number, room number, date of
check-in. Drive for 6 hours, call and confirm everything is ok and get physical address for check in. Received information we needed and continued on for 6 more hours. Arrived at destination, at scheduled pre-set time. We were told our condo was given away just 2 hours prior to our arrival. NO EXPLANATION AS TO THE REASON IT WAS GIVEN AWAY!
We were offered a motel room, in place of the condo, for the exact same money. THIS WAS A SEVEN DAY STAY! This was the worst experience we had ever had! We asked to be upgraded to another condo. The answer was a very firm, NO. The people we dealt with, in person, were rude and very unfriendly. No explanations, No apologies, NO anything.
We leave and drive back home, 12 hours more. Spent $240 in gasoline. So after 25 hours of driving, we make it back home only to sit here for the next 7 days because we both took off work. All of our money is tied up in the condo we could not stay in. We would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE! We paid in advance, we confirmed our reservations (several times), we had receipts "in hand". This did NOT make a difference to the people at the check-in. We would recommend that you run as far away from this place as you could get! NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. I know, because I own my own business. This place will NOT be here for long!
We were NOT the only ones this happened to this day. While we were standing there, trying to sort this out, another man called (very irate!) because he gave a key to another man to HIS room. So they booked two different parties into the same motel room that very day.
