What a gorgeous spot this is with the friendliest staff and cosiest rooms. The indoor fireplace is always packed with wood to keep you toasty. Each little cabin has a certain amount of privacy. This is honestly a place you can go to and just enjoy the peace and quiet. The breakfasts are super yummy, the bar is well stocked... More

Wendy and Ildy were the definition of what we look for in hosts. Friendly, considerate and they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you so much for the special treatment we received on account of us being on honeymoon and for our upgrade! It added SO much value to the trip. We never had the... More

A great venue, we chose the self catering option, although the restaurant offers all meals. We took advantage of the mountain bike trails, the hiking paths, the trout fishing (with gear hire and tuition) and the quiet. Had a great time and will be back for more.

Stayed as part of a party of 22 en-route to Swaziland. Its very rural and safe. It is set in beautiful grounds with a lake and wildlife. Accommodation is cabins and ours was excellent, very well appointed and had plenty of room. Food was buffet-style when we arrived, which was ideal as it was late and we had travelled from... More

We stayed in a one bedroom chalet, which was really great, and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful, with lots of opportunities for nice walks, and lots of activities, such as fishing and clay pigeon shooting. The owner, Johan, was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning.

Upon arriving at Greystone lodge we were warmly welcomed by Alex. He had our booking ready before entering at reception and congratulated us with our anniversary. When entering the cottage we found a welcome letter and bottle of champagne congratulating us. Great place and great people. Thanks a million.

At R300 per person per night I expected a lot more. We booked the bigger chalet for 6 of us for the weekend. As the weather does in the area it was raining most of the weekend, really lovely with mist over the dam. But with an oven that didnt work and a kettle that didnt work it made for... More

We joined our friends for a weekend away at Greystone Lodge. The cabins are neat and well equipped. Johan and the rest of the staff members are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. The view is one of the best I've seen. The Lodge has a wide variety of fun activities. We had no problems with... More

We stayed in the 1 bedroom chalet for a weekend. It was private and cosy. Only recommendation to manager would be to have more working surface area in the kitchen to prep food. Cottage was 100m from the dam, which was great for early morning fishing. Peaceful forest walk around resort was enjoyable with loads of wildlife bouncing about. Being... More
