In a superb position on the coast by the cable car across Dursey Sound is this excellent B and B. Paddy operates the cable car, as he has done for 23 years, between serving our breakfast and dinner, and he and Agnes were extremely welcoming. The room and dining room had views across the sea and the breakfast, including a...

After an exhilarating but long walk from Castletownbere we arrived to this restful and well appointed lodging for a lovely dinner and welcoming hosts. Certainly a special place from which to visit Dursey island and explore the wonderful Beara Penninsula.

Well, at the end of the Beara Peninsula anyway. An absolutely amazing location with fantastic sea views from the bedrooms and dining room. Agnes and Paddy give you a warm welcome and make you feel at home straight away. Great area for fishing and walking. Fishing around Dursey Island very good for pollack, mackeral, etc. Good breakfast and excellent value...

Staying at Windy Point House Bed & Breakfast has been a real treat. The views from our room were spectacular, the food was excellent & everything looked clean and well taken care of. But the real strengths of this beautiful getaway at the very tip of the Beara Peninsula, can be found in the people who run it. Patty &...

While at our previous days B&B we called ahead and to see if Windy Point had any room for us on our honeymoon. We wanted to go out to Dursey Island after getting a tip from another traveler. It is the only cable car in Ireland, so it must be pretty awesome area to stay. They had a room for...

Paddy & Agnes are lovely hosts in the superb B&B. Great welcome, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. Wonderful location overlooking sea at tip of Beara peninsula, near the cable car to Dursey Island. We had views of dolphins from our bedroom window on the first morning. If you like peace, dramatic scenery, walking, wildlife and some local history, this is...

Paddy & Agnes are great hosts and despite being busy with everything...always have time for a cheerful word...I don't know how they do it. The place is clean, well kept and the views are living postcards.

Everything about this guest house is wonderful. Located at the very tip of the Beara Peninsula it is more than worth the trip to spend a night or two here. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean it offers magnificient views of sea and rugged coastline out to Crow Head and on the other side Dursey Island. These views are seen from all...

The Windy Point B&B on the Beara Peninsula was amazing. Run by Agnes and Paddy, it was sparkling clean and beautifully situated with our room having an outstanding view. I have never seen anyone who takes such meticulous care and pride in cleaning and maintaining a B&B. Agnes always had a dust cloth or cleaning spray in her hand. Paddy...
