overall stay was wonderful. Spacious room, 2 double beds in each room. Separate shower and toilet. Suitable for Family as each 2 chalet is adjoining and has a connecting door. buffet spreads are amazing, freshly cooked meal everytime. Guide and staffs are outstanding. Our Guide, Man is doing beyond his duty. Never failed to amazed us, and he deserve a praise. Mobile coverage is not really that great. Wifi is available, but limited.

The reason to be at this location is to see the wildlife. Although you never know what animals will show themselves the entire experience of being in their world is thrilling. This lodge makes that experience happen while on the river or through jungle walks. Most importantly I always felt safe around the snakes, leeches and other species whose world I invaded. Memories to share for a long time.

After spending time in the Orangutan sanctuary, my wife and I spent 2 nights at the lodge. We got big smiles from all of the staff upon our arrival and were made to feel really welcome. Our lodge itself was really spacious and comfortable. All of our meals were excellent and plentiful. Our trips on the river were brilliant, we managed to see Oragutans in the wild, lots of crocodiles, snakes, many different types of monkeys and birds. We even had a civet cat and a family of wild boar come to visit us back at the lodge. All in all it was a really enjoyable and fascinating trip. Ps, a big big thank you to our guide Asme who was absolutely amazing. His knowledge and personality made our visit so much more enjoyable. We will definitely return.

My wife and I arrived at Bilit Rainforest Lodge for a 3 night stay after being met and transfered from Tabin Wildlife Reserve, by Aziz who was to be our guide for the duration of our stay at Bilit Rainforest Lodge. The trip from Tabin to Bilit by car takes approx 3.5 hours, which passed quickly with Aziz explaining what we were likely to see and experience whilst at the lodge and during the boat wildlife spotting trips, usually 2 trips per day and a night excursion. On arrival at the lodge we were welcomed by the management given a non alcoholic drink and shown to our cabin, this was roomy, clean with ceiling fan and air conditioning and onsuite toilet / shower / washbasin. Food was good and varied with alchoholic drinks available at reasonable cost. The boat trips were very

Visited with teenage kids and we all loved it. Accommodation was basic, but clean and comfortable, and you do need to remember where you are. However the wildlife and the staff were fantastic. Cruising on the river allows you to get so close to the wildlife, which seems totally unperturbed by our presence. Unless of course you watch it wandering through the camp (macaques and wild pigs). The manger took us on a short walk into the village and gave us an insight into the lives of the local people, which was fascinating. As most of the activities are from a boat then you don’t need many special clothes but good sunscreen and mosquito repellent are a must.

We stayed in this rainforest expanse for 2 nights of our honeymoon to Asia. We did not have any preconceptions on arrival but were warmly greeted by the excellent manager Jimmy. Following our welcoming drink (non acloholic) we were shown to our upgraded cabin (Free) by the manager and following a brief tour we were left to relax and enjoy the delights of the wild rainforest. It is set beside Bilit village on elevated wooden walkways. Wild life is literally at your door which makes for a very authentic experience. The cafeteria was comfortable and they made a special effort on the last night of our stay for our honeymoon decorating our table with flowers. The food was nice and tasty with plenty of choice. We did a night cruise with Jimmy and another member of staff. Their

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour around Borneo. The accommodation was very good. The rooms were great and very well maintained. We were upgraded to one of their superior lodges which was huge. On two levels with a huge bed. All the meals provided were excellent - great choice and all very tasty. The best part was the excellent river excursions that they run. These were a highlight of our whole holiday. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights whilst we were on a rainforest excursion. This place is basic but homely. The staff are all really friendly and keep the place looking clean and tidy. Everyone takes their shoes off in reception and the main restaurant. We were here on our honeymoon and were given one of the VIP lodges (there are 3 out of a total 25 lodges). The lodge was big! Initially when we entered the lodge the aircon wasn’t on, so it was like an oven but the aircon worked brilliantly so it soon cooled down. The shower was great (although it took a freezing cold shower to realise the hot and cold symbols were back to front!). The food was home cooked and tasty - just what you needed after a day on the river! We would recommend but only for a few days!!

Myself and my Wife Alex stayed for a couple of days during our honeymoon. Our guide was Paul who was fantastic - we cannot thank Paul enough for all of his help from start to finish. Food was great and all of the staff were very friendly. Bilit was a nice and relaxed stay during our honeymoon and you are really made to feel like home. We were made to feel special by having a room upgrade for our honeymoon and flowers laid out for our last night- this was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. Thanks Andy

We recently visited the Bilit Rainforest lodge as part of an organised tour. We are a family of four with two teenagers. We landed in Sandakan and were picked up by our lovely guide and embarked on a 3 day jungle tour. Our first stop after two hours drive was the Gomantong Cave inside Gomantong Hill in Sabah. All I can say is that it’s an experience! We were lucky enough to see two wild orangutans while walking to the cave! The cave itself is an assault to the senses. The smell of bird and bat poo is indescribable. The other treat in the cave is cockroaches galore. Millions of them. Large ones, small ones, everywhere! If you want to take photos in the cave you need cash to pay a camera fee. The cost is 30 ringgits per camera. Phones are free. This charge is fairly
