We had a great stay here at the lodge.
The staff and the food were great.
The accommodation is basic but it's what we expected. Your staying on the edge of a rainforest and a river. We weren't expecting a 5 star hotel experience. You...More
The river bank is littered with signs of many resorts. Choosing one where there is no road access means you are limited to the food of that place unless you take a water taxi. The lodge boats are not covered; Myne resort's boats had a...More
Our room was basic but clean and tidy. The bathroom needed re-decorated and didn't seem all that clean. The food was OK, not all that much choice but edible. The staff seemed nice enough but seemed very uncertain of what to do - they were...More

Hi Darryl. Bilit lodge is a few hours drive from Sepilok where the Orang u tang sanctuary is. If you want to stay near the Orang Sanctuary- try Sepilok Jungle Resort - we loved it. Bilit lodge (loved this place too) is on the river and it does include the boat rides along (2 one at sunset - one at sunrise)the river to see birds, crocs, elephants, several kinds of monkeys. one of the guys does a night jungle walk - which you pay extra for - I think it was about $10 Aus. and you can buy beer :) and snacks at the lodge. the overnight fee includes your dinner and breakfast (which was good) don't expect 5 star at either place, there are 5 star places as well. up to you
