Having visited a few jungle camps I am aware that you cannot compare these lodges to hotels - they are different things altogether. The staff were really nice - our guide, John was well informed and interesting. He did not bombard us with information (something...More
Not a place to choose unless coming to view wildlife from the river. Accommodation is in basic cablns with a/c, limited wifi is available in the lobby area but with little to see from the lodge except the occasional monkey.

We did an overnight sat with our 3 year old son and it was a very pleasant stay. The staff we welcoming, helpful and professional. Our room was comfortable and clean and the setting in the rainforest was beautiful. Meals were good with a buffet...More
Good place on the river bank. Cruises in the evening and night can spot lots of wildlife. Our guide Darwis was very informative and shared lots of details about the species and the ecosystem around the rainforest.

Hi Darryl. Bilit lodge is a few hours drive from Sepilok where the Orang u tang sanctuary is. If you want to stay near the Orang Sanctuary- try Sepilok Jungle Resort - we loved it. Bilit lodge (loved this place too) is on the river and it does include the boat rides along (2 one at sunset - one at sunrise)the river to see birds, crocs, elephants, several kinds of monkeys. one of the guys does a night jungle walk - which you pay extra for - I think it was about $10 Aus. and you can buy beer :) and snacks at the lodge. the overnight fee includes your dinner and breakfast (which was good) don't expect 5 star at either place, there are 5 star places as well. up to you
