We recently stayed at Shades of Green for six nights for a Disney trip celebrating my son's first birthday. We are frequent visitors to Disney, but this time we were joined by my brother-in-law (Air Force), sister-in-law, and their two children. Pros: Location! Nearly every day, we took the short walk to the Polynesian and rode the monorail to the...

We stayed in 2006 and I swore I'd never go back. This visit the rooms were greatly improved and the pools were clean. Bus service is available on the hour. Access for persons with disabilities are phenomenal. The only thing lacking was the service aspects of the coffee shop and cafe. It opens at 6 but both times I stopped...

This place is truly magical with comforting lodge feel. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The lobby is also beautiful and comfortable for relaxing in with family in the evenings. The staff is exactly what you would expect of Disney- upbeat, helpful and extremely accommodating. There are two pools great for swimming or for relaxing after...

This is such an incredible deal for military families. You are staying on Disney property and you have the ability to utilize the Magic Hour at no extra cost. The rooms and property are all very nice and if you wanted to pay more for a more luxurious experience than the one prorated to your rank, you are more than...

We were able to visit SOG this week and stayed in the section near the parking garage. Our room still smelled of the new carpet! The room renovations are amazing! We transferred over to the Bonnet Creek and can't believe how small our room was in comparison to our home earlier in the week while we were in the World....

Family reunion at Shades of Green April 1-8. We had 17 people,4 generations. My son and daughter-in-law are active duty and were able to make reservations for 5 rooms. Everyone was helpful and kind on the phone while my DIL went through the reservation process(only the service person can do this, so it can get confusing for a large party.)...

I have reviewed Shades before, but it just does not ever let us down. This was a couples only visit and it was magical. 7 nights of peace and quiet. We took advantage of the Red White and Blue package for breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfast is always good with a large and varied selection. Dinner has 'themed nights but...

We've stayed at Shades of Green several times when enjoying the Disney parks. It is not considered Disney property, but the location is great (across from the Polynesian) and transportation options are more than adequate. The hotel is clean and quiet. There are two pools, 2 restaurants, a sports bar at the pool and a spa are all located on...

I took my two children and my Mom to Shades of Green in April 2017. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. The staff is very friendly and fast to respond. We had a entryway light that was strobing and would not shut off at night. I called for maintenance and they were out within 15 minutes. The...
