We’ve previously stayed at value and moderate resorts and decided to splurge on a deluxe for this trip. We chose this deluxe for its location and pool, neither were a disappointment. The convenience of being able to walk to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot was...More
We really enjoyed this property and have very little negative to say about it.
-proximity to Epcot (negligible walk)
-proximity to Hollywood studios (considerable walk which we did not do but I wish we had)
-proximity to the Boardwalk (lots of fun to do...More
We stayed here during hurricane Irma last sept of 2017. It was a club level which wasn’t very bad but not great as it could have been. I say this because of the thin walls you could every thing the people next to you ....More
I’ve stayed at all of the Disney resorts.. I rate this resort a 5/10. I noticed that this resort offers smoking in areas that non-smokers have to walk through.. this was extremely disgusting as I have a toddler who had to breathe in those fumes...More

We went for a six-day vacation with our 19 and 22-year-old kids. We were looking for a quieter hotel with entertainment geared toward adults. The Yacht Club did not disappoint! Check-in was a breeze. The room had 2 queen beds and a sofa bed big...More

Yacht Club is one of my favorite places to drop anchor. With the new rooms and all the lovely amenities, it sure is a wonderful place to stay – not to mention how close it is to Epcot. I'm glad your family had such a...More

I am confused about your question. Are you referring to a standard room being the regular room you would book regardless of view? or are you hoping for "standard view"? I just checked Disney World's website. They are not booking past December 31 at the moment.
In any event, a regular double queen room at Yacht Club will have 2 queen beds. Many of the rooms also have a fold out single murphy bed that will fit a grown adult (though it is more comfortable for a grown adult below 5'10"). If you book for 5 people in your room, you will be put in priority to get one of those rooms. If for some reason you don't, you can request a roll-away bed for a 5th person. Will it be tight? yes. but it's doable. Keep in mind that you will be paying extra for more than 2 adults over 18 years old. Kids are free in the room regardless of what sites like Orbitz and Expedia tell you. If you run into that problem, book with the 2 adults, then call in to Disney to add the kids, They will be added to the reservation for free.
We were at Yacht club a few months ago with 4 adults in the room (2 adults, 2 teens - but everyone is full grown!) actually didn't feel too squished. The bathroom setup is convenient - separate room for shower and toilet, then an area you can close off with the sinks. The big sink area that really helps when multiple people are getting ready in the morning.
Hope you have a great trip!

You cannot use the pools at other Disney hotels. They check everyone coming in the pool area to make sure you are a paying guest to that hotel. The boardwalk that is open to the public is a walk around the waterway; it’s not right next to the hotel. They can eat at the restaurants but cannot use the pools.
