Expensive room with terrible Wi-Fi The room was clean and standard for a Marriott. Hotel charged a $49 resort fee for internet and phone calls. When singing up for Wi-Fi, you are asked to spend an additional amount for premium Wi-Fi. Standard Wi-Fi takes almost 7 seconds to load hotel homepage. Any other web surfing is brutally painful. So you just tether to your phone. So you pay $49 a day for Wi-Fi that is all but practically unusable. Calls to the front desk were a waste of time.

Just got back from a 5-night stay at the Swan Reserve. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms were clean, modern and spacious. The grounds were great with a playground, multiple pools, and easy access to the parks. Not-so-great - This hotel doesn’t know whether it wants to be a Marriott or Disney. When we arrived, I asked to add our Marriott account because we have top status with Marriott. The response was that “we can add it, but you won’t get any of the benefits because we are Disney.” Then we had a hiccup with our room type, and when I went downstairs to see if they could change us rooms, the response was “we can’t do that because we’re Marriott and you booked directly through Disney. You’ll have to call them and get them to switch you rooms.” At that point, it wasn’t worth it. Very frustrating. For Disney transportation, you can walk across the street to Swan/Dolphin and take the boat to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Super convenient! The hotel also provides shuttles to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. If you don’t plan on going off-site of Disney, I recommend ubering as the hotel charges $40/day for parking. Food is also limited at the Swan Reserve. You’ll need to walk over to Swan/Dolphin or boat to the Boardwalk. I definitely think this is one of the nicest properties you can stay while at Disney, but manage your expectations.

We stayed in room 1059 East from 10th to 17th September 2023. For an hotel which uses so many superlatives in its publicity, eg “magnificent”, “ultimate”, “spectacular”, etc. I have to say I found our experience fell short of those standards. The shower very difficult to switch completely between rain shower head and hand held nozzle, thus impossible to shower without getting wet hair. All of the USB sockets in the lamp bases either not working or broken Dirty/stained towel delivered as clean. Photograph available if wanted. Carpets in corridor in very poor condition (worn and stained) Horizontal surfaces such as top of pictures, bed head and metal plates below bedside lamps very dusty and obviously not regularly cleaned. Photographs attached. Faucets in the two sinks mix hot and cold in opposite directions. Only one robe supplied. After checkout, while waiting for transfer to our next destination, we found the availability of Wi-Fi in the public areas extremely patchy which was very inconvenient. While these problems did not ruin our stay they would make us think twice about staying in another Bonvoy establishment if the divergence between claimed standards and actuality is a corporate problem. On a positive note all the staff with whom we interacted were extremely helpful and a delight to deal with.

We won’t stay at Disney World resorts ever again. Saved over $1000 compared to staying next door at the sandy bottomed resort. We had a beautiful room that was pristine. Short walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios plus the Skyliner and boats. Multiple places on-site to eat, beautiful grounds, and wonderfully relaxing pools. Plus the perk of early entry. All staff members we came in contact with were super friendly and greeted us. Highly recommend The Swan!

Awesome hotel in perfect location. The team is always so willing to serve & ensure a flawless experience. Dylan F in valet wheats goes above & beyond. He recognizes you, greets you by name & engages about your day. A true stoic figure who ensures that he’s a smiling face to welcome you on the first visit or welcome you back. The restaurants are superb and Il Mulino is absolutely decadent and exceptional from start to finish. Overall amazing job and a place you should certainly visit while in Orlando for stunning stays, great service, exceptional food and convenience.

OH BOY! Beware of the work they are doing on the outside of the building. We checked in on 9/28 for an 13 night stay at the Swan and haven’t slept in days! The first night we had to sleep with our heads under the covers due to the fact that the air conditioning vent was directly facing our bed. When we turned down it would get too hot so we tried to deal with it for 2 nights. My daughter has been sick since. On the 3rd day my husband went to the front desk to see if we could be moved to a different room. After some back and forth we were moved to another room. We were happy and went into the parks. We came back that night tired and exhausted planning on sleeping in and relaxing. No such luck. The next morning at 9am there was such loud drilling coming from all sides that we thought something was coming through our walls. We called the front desk and they were surprised that we didn’t know there was work being done on all the balconies around our area of the building. That there should be a letter stating that in our room. There was no letter. The lady at the front desk was very matter of fact and stated that the work would start at 9am Monday through Friday. We were shocked. We are a very patient family , we keep our cool but it’s crazy to us that they put us in this room knowing this work was being done after we had complained about not be able to sleep in the first room. It’s beyond us! We have not slept well since we checked in. Yesterday we came back and the room had not been cleaned. We had no water, coffee, towels, toilet paper, etc. I called the front once again and was told that I had signed up to not have housekeeping everyday. I did no such thing. I’ve literally had to hunt down housekeeping for the water they are supposed to provide. The 2 waters a day per person that we pay for! We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay but I would have stayed at the Dolphin if I had known this amount of work was taking place. It is ridiculously expensive at WDW and to pay all this money not to sleep is just not acceptable. My daughter is still sick from the vent hitting her face all night from the first room and has not been able to get better at all because she hasn’t slept. This is not cool. Stay at another resort! You are definitely on your own here! So Sad!!

Bed is very comfortable. Good location. However would not stay here again unless price much cheaper. Not worth the money. Toilet cistern broken one night, they gave us 35 dollars off resort fee for 1 night of no sleep as cistern refilled every 3 minutes. They take 100 dollars a night on credit card in case of any incidentals. So on 4 night stay they tried to take 400 dollars. We had no extra charges except resort fee. The resort fee is a joke, why not just include in original price? Very very slow reception, Never received items from housekeeping we asked for twice, gave up in the end. Room is typical standard hotel room, nothing special. No actual schedule for local shuttle transportation, we were told to turn up and wait. I would suggest paying the extra for better service and stay elsewhere.

I stayed here in April, 2023 but am finally posting this review in September. Why? Because when I escalated the issue I had in April, I was told that it was being escalated and reviewed and I feel that 4+ months is a fair amount of time and I have received 0 updates since then. While the location and rooms look great on paper, know that if any situation comes up you're on your own. While my situation wasn't an urgent emergency, I would imagine if it was we wouldn't have gotten the help we needed. __________________________ My family and I came back late one night to discover that the reservation had disappeared from the app and there was no mobile key. I tried to go to the courtesy phone by the elevator, and it wasn't working. I tried to troubleshoot the app and nothing worked. I tried to call the number listed for the Swan, only to be redirected to the central Marriott line who told me that they couldn't connect me to the front desk. Apparently there is no way to connect to the front desk by phone, so my husband went down to the front desk get physical keys. They told him the app does have a lot of issues often, but even though he was on the reservation with an id and the same billing address, they could not issue him a key. They could however send another mobile key to me - which surprise, did not work. I went down and approached two women, and quickly tell them the situation and that I just want a physical key. One woman started to help me while the other asked for my id. I quickly tossed my id over, and she told me that she didn't appreciate the way I did that, and that it was rude. I took the id back and pushed it forward towards her in the counter. I'm clearly just exhausted and want to do this quickly so I can get to my room. She told me she didn't like my attitude and something along the lines of how she didn't deserve to be treated like that. She refused to give me my keys. The woman who was actually helping me handed me some physical room keys at that point and I just left. I will never know if that woman lacked empathy, is truly that sensitive with the actions of an incredibly tired and frustrated guest, was on a power trip, or worst case scenario that I am choosing not to get into. It is so unfortunate because my stay would have been pretty great had it not been for that one single employee who decided to lecture and humiliate me.

We had an excellent stay at the Swan. We were there for 5 nights and had a regular room (not a view room) but we could still see so many great things out the window including Hollywood Studios and fireworks! The room was very clean and the housekeeping was always helpful (and gracious) whether it was servicing the room or just swapping towels for us. The front desk staff and the staff at the entrance were also great. The pools were nice and not crowded. I like that there are a few pools so you can decide if you want the busy grotto pool or something more mellow like the swan pool. Honestly, a great stay. The location is amazing for walking back and forth to Epcot and HS. Would certainly stay again.

Had to write this review because we had an amazing stay at the Disney Swan this past weekend. Housekeeping is on their game here! Rooms look great, front desk staff amazing and pool area was so fun, not to mention the great location and access to boat service to two parks. Stay here if you can!
