Hotel's Favourite
Of course it’s not like the original location in NY as far as opulence and elegance, but I am starting to prefer this brand to Ritz-Carlton which is dated. Wonderful staff—we felt true hospitality from housekeeping, guest services, food and beverage. The rooms could use more USB and electrical outlets. Also, please bring back robes, slippers, etc. the bathroom was missing the usual cosmetic mirror you would find at a five star hotel. We had cocktails at Peacock, dinner at Bull & Bear, breakfast at Oscar’s and lunch poolside at Beech’s (Hilton). We were blown away by the service and food at B&B—we’ve dined all over the world and there are so many upscale steakhouses in the US which are too often not so great—and this restaurant is worth it! Better than the many we’ve visited in Miami, Las Vegas, even Chicago. It’s definitely a steakhouse atmosphere but very elegant and still accommodating for families. Our two children loved it. Scott and the team were great

Disappointing stay overall. Having stayed in many hotels around the world, this place does not warrant its 5 star badge. A 5 star hotel in Ireland would provide a more premium service, speaking from experience. Where do we start, my family and I had 4 Disney suites on the 10th floor and were here for 8 nights. The most shocking thing - the absence of staff and the opening hours of services. You cannot get a drink here after 11pm in what is supposed to be a 5 star premium hotel, if you want to charge at those rates then you need to reflect it within your overall offering. The staff come around in peacock alley at 10:30 asking for last orders, and the staff promptly shut the bar at 11, one bartender on duty. If you’re starving, forget it. They do not serve food either in room or in a restaurant after 11 either. Secondly, the pool hours where staff are present are shocking. If they aren’t busy some days; they decide to close the aquamarine pool bar and restaurant at 5:30pm, some days 6pm, it changes according to how they feel. There are fire pits and movies on in the evenings where people want to sit out in the hot tub and have drinks, T the bar is closed for food and drink. For a 5 star hotel, there was no floor presence of a manager or concierge asking if you were enjoying yourself in our whole length of staying. Unless you went looking for staff, no one would approach you. Room service were quite rude, they would continuously ring the bell to get into your room even if you didn’t answer after a few rings because you’re in bed. Really can’t understand this. They did not tell us sir Harry’s bar was closed prior to our stay. Bull & Bear is not worth the price tag, but that’s for another day. The service was extremely slow in there. The price of the breakfast in Oscar’s, you would 100% receive as good if not better quality breakfast for less money, although it was a good breakfast, no faults with it. LASTLY - there is serious construction and renovations going on at the front and back of the hotel at the moment. It really was appalling noise. There is a piling rig set up every day from beginning of January that is driving in steel interlocking piles with a huge crane every day for a few hours. The noise is deafening at the pool, and inside your room on the 10th floor you can still hear it. I understand it is work that has to be done, but warning your guests about it before staying or during, letting us know what times it will be happening would common courtesy expected from a supposed 5 star hotel. We ended up spending most days away from the hotel because of the noise, which is a shame as the weather was beautiful for the pool. Coming back to orlando in future unfortunately I would not stay here again as it does not justify the price tag. There is nothing that makes the stay feel special, or like you are at a world class hotel. You could check in and never hear from another member of staff until you leave unless ordering food or drink, which is very odd. 3 out of 5 is an accurate review. The hotel is clean, luxurious in the lobby areas and the room beds are very comfortable. It just has no wow factor and no effort from the staff. I’ve seen staff more hospitable at 3 star hotels in the Uk and Ireland that cost very little per night.

Room Tip: Avoid the hotel right now in January 2022 and next few months; very loud construction at present.

The resort was great regarding the food in the pool minus tathered and broken umbrellas very disappointed that the hotel didn’t warn us of major construction projects going on that created significant noise and made it very difficult to relax

Avoid booking this for the next couple of months at least, they are building right next to the hotel and pool. Noise all day. Woke my family up each morning and went on all day. We booked this through Expedia and received no notice regarding the construction. Plenty of nice hotels to choose from, save you money and find a better property.
