The beds are sooo comfortable. Beautiful decor. Excellent customer service. Special thanks to Eva for solving our problem. She bent over backwards in helping us check in and was very kind and respectful.
We stayed here 4 nights in mid January 2023. First of all it's important to point out that this property is close to 40 years old. Given that information you'll be impressed with how well the staff has taken such remarkable care of the grounds, interior and exterior of the buildings. The staff is well trained, professional, genuine, helpful and all have great attitudes. It's very evident that the leadership here is active and doing a great job. The property is quite large and it's a very good walk from your guest room to the "self park" parking lot. The guest rooms are not large by any means but respectable in size. The back of the hotel faces the lake and the pool AND the WDW nightly fireworks can be seen as well. Pay to upgrade to a lake view room...you'll be glad you did. The rooms have a noticeable design flaw. There is a large sliding wooden door to the bathroom. When the door is "open" you cannot get into the closet or safe. It blocks both the closet and safe. The room decor is somewhat basic and slightly dated but not enough to deter you from staying here. Just don't expect an ultra modern Ritz Carlton or a Waldorf Astoria type guest room. The lobby and common areas are very nice and immaculate at all times. Now....the Food and Bev situation. Hmmm.....a little lacking in this area given the size of the property. The Lakehouse restaurant which in no way resembles any lake house I've ever seen has a small bar (20 - 25 seats or less including the bar stools) and a sushi bar. (interesting combination). We did not eat here but opted for The Four Flamingos restaurant which was outstanding. The Four Flamingos is pricey with most entrees being $30 plus al la carte. There is a restaurant at the pool but it's only open at lunch. The only two dinner options are the Lakehouse and Four Flamingos. The bar at the Four Flamingos was terrific. Classy and quite with great bartenders. The pools are fantastic and very clean at all times of the day. The walking trails are great. Well laid out and well marked. Beware.....the hotel states that it's a "1 mile walk" to Disney Springs. Not so, we did it with an Apple watch and it's 1.6 miles or 35 - 40 minutes. On a hot day be sure you have plenty of water with you!! Overall the property is very nice and I would not hesitate to stay here in the future. …
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is a beautiful hotel. The pool is amazing and the staff was very attentive and quick to respond to requests. We were there for business and their meeting space is fantastic. We were able to spend a few hours at the pool where staff was constantly checking on us for drink/food orders. Very convenient to the airport and parks but once you are there it feels like you are on an island in the middle of nowhere.
My niece had her wedding at the resort. There was a lot to do. It was a really nice time. The grounds were spectacular. The weather was perfect. We relaxed by the pool, did the paddle boats. It was just a good time for the 3 days we spent
This hotel is very conveniently located near the entrance to Disney so it works for us. The hotel is beautiful with lush grounds, very friendly staff, a very beautiful resident bird named Merlot, and fabulous pools. We love the pools! The hot tubs are beautifully tucked away and the game room, water slide, and small but fun splash park keep the kids busy. There is a wide lake front beach, paddle boat and canoe rentals, Evening movies by the pool. We really enjoy this hotel and it goes against my better judgement to tell you all about it.
What a beautifully maintained resort! The pools are amazing, the garden lush. The food was great, but not many gluten-free options. The rooms were spotless & recently updated. The shower was awesome! The best part of the resort is the staff. Everyone we dealt with was wonderfully kind, professional, helpful & happy to assist. We unfortunately had a terrible experience at the spa, but they are handling the issue with grace & understanding.
I'll stay there again. Very nice property and located in a very nice and convenient area. Sushi is great at the lakehouse restaurant. Property is easy to navigate and a great pool and pool bar. Be sure to get the tuna bowl!
The service exceeded my expectations. The grounds were breathtaking. The views from our rooms terrace were spectacular, with views of two of the theme parks fireworks displays. The children loved the pools, nightly s’mores and the lobby parrot named Merlot. The hotel is within a close proximity to many of Orlando’s main attractions. This will be my hotel of choice when visiting Orlando.
Decent service and location. Food in restaurant was terrible. Did not feel the staff went overboard to make me feel welcome. Comforters on beds were not comfortable. Temperature regulation in my room was substandard.
What a beautiful resort with lots of recreational activities for adults and children. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Everything was clean and up-to-date. Will definitely return if in the area.
