My wife and I joined the DVC in May 2014. One of the best moves we have made. We just spent 8 days in January 2015. We stayed at Kadani village in a one bedroom villa. The room was wonderful! Very spacious and beautiful. The...More
I didn't realize it when booking my room but Animal Kingdom Lodge is actually two different buildings that are not connected and require a shuttle on a rainy night. Jambo House where we stayed was absolutely lovely. But Kidani Village, the other building, is nowhere...More

Though I’ve stayed at AKL we did not use the buses. However we have used the buses in fort wilderness and at the yacht club. Based on these experiences I would generally avoid using buses whenever possible. Perhaps Uber/Lyft/Minnie van during critical times. The buses have not been reliable for us and are akin to a tin full of sardines at the end of the day. In general your best bet at Disney is to try and avoid doing what everyone else is doing which isn’t always easy to do.
