PROS: Clean, modern cozy room/beds. Convenient location and nice amenities (restaurants/starbucks). Great pools. Close, easy parking situation. GREAT STAY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! despite the tripadvisor instructions saying not to write in all caps. CONS: Not any glaring cons. Bathroom might have been small and shower water took a while to get hot, but that's it. We had a concierge person tell us there was no place to eat in Disney Boardwalk, but then we went there because google maps indicated there were restaurants there, and we found a nice-ish Italian restaurant and a pizza place. But we're not holding that against the hotel. Just use google maps when looking for restaurants. It'll always be more accurate. Summary: I think this is more of a 4-star hotel than a 5-star hotel, but I give it a full rating based on customer service and the general good condition of the property and convenience. It's a very nice and what I call a upscale-practical hotel... with access to a bunch of pools including a lazy river (across bonnett creek lake) and a pirate ship-themed pool (right next door). One detail in their commitment to customer service: The ticket machine in the arcade wasn't working, but there was no "out of order" sign, so my kids got excited for a couple games, and then it wouldn't read my card. I went to the front desk, and they had already called the arcade vendor. As a consolation, they gave me a stack of pre-loaded game cards, free of charge, for my kids to each play a few games with. It would have been easy for them to just say "sorry for the inconvenience" and I would have been fine with it. But they decided to get pre-loaded game cards to hold kids over until the machine is fixed. Great job! As a parent, that tired kid you just dragged out of the pool has his heart set on playing a video game and you say YES YOU CAN! but then the machine doesn't work! Easily could be some sad kids but instead, Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek came through, and there was no reason to ever think otherwise! Great overall resort!! 8.5/10 (we are family with two young kids)…
The only thing I wanna mention the most is the driver to four Disneyland parks and disney springs. Nilson!!! The best driver I’ve ever met!!! Love him so much,I even took a photo w/ him cuz I like him so much. He makes my day, let me and my friends happy starting from the beginning of the day.
1. One day, the toilet was not cleaned while the cleaner was inside making bed. I had to come back to take some of the belongings but she left the room with unfinished job and never returned. 2. The lunch was not good and at one of the buffet queue, one of the menu was listed as vegetarian and the same menu at the second buffet queue was listed as Non-vegetarian (chicken). After requesting the salad, only one plate was served on the table instead of 7 and later when we were about to leave the table due to scheduled meeting, all 7 plates of salads came which ofcourse we could not finish due to time restrictions. Some of our Hindu colleagues were celebrating new year (Gudi Padwa festival) when they dont eat non-veg on that day; however, it was eaten just due to some silly mistake from the kitchen staff on printing the wrong label on the buffet table. I am sorry, this was JUST AN UNACCEPTABLE from the hotel. 3. In one of the morning, I called to reception to request the dental kit. It took me 7 minutes to speak to the staff but unfortunately, I was told that the room service staff do not start until late in the morning so was asked to come downstairs and collect the kit by myself.…
This is a beautiful hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. You should ask for a room high up with a balcony facing the nightly fireworks. The path around the lake makes a good walk with views of 6 time share lodgings each with its own pool. There is mini golf if you make a reservation. Everything you buy provides a healthy profit margin for Wyndham with cocktails at $15 and a bottle of water over $3. Entrees at BluFin start at $44. Whatever you do don’t get sucked in to a gift of, in our case, $125 to listen to a sales pitch for a time share. It will ruin you morning or even your day. Not worth it believe me. They will say they are not high pressure, but they are fast talkers and high pressure.
Be aware that you will have to contend with a sales pitch for the Wyndham time shares every time you cross through the lobby. Great hotel staff. Clean rooms. Ate at the Back Bay (by pool) service was excellent, nothing extraordinary about food. Tesoro Cove great service, really enjoyed the made to order omelet but the ready made items tasted like any other hotel fare.
Great hotel! Grounds were beautiful. Staff was great especially Maynard and DJ making our day/night poolside that much better. S’mores and Margaritas. Thank you Maynard and DJ. Food on site was delicious. Rooms and grounds clean and up to date. Will definitely go back. Location to Disney parks is perfect.
I love the hospitality especially from the dinning department, especially from Nini. The food is excellent & the pool beautiful. The only "bad" thing I can say is that it needs more weights in the gym.
Great please to stay had an issue one day with a private event being held at the pool by a big corporation and they wanted to kick us out. Refused to leave after the money we paid Maynard from the back bay grille took care of our issues and provided great service the remainder of the evening to our large group of cheerleaders.
Daughter's wedding was there. 1. Requested a handicap accessible room. Did not receive it. 2. Requested an email confirmation of room reservation by phone on 3 separate occasions. Did not receive it. 3. The 'block' of rooms reserved were on the 5th, 7th, and 12th floors. 4. Our room only had cold water in the shower. 5. At the last minute, hotel swapped rooms for the service and reception.
I had done extensive Trip Advisor research prior to booking, to ensure a perfect stay. This hotel did not disappoint and was even better than all the consistent 4.5-5 star customer reviews I had read about on TripAdvisor! The room was very clean and quiet, best mattresses and bedding ever! The room had a Keurig coffee machine and fridge, with kitchen counter area to store and prepare food. The sink and mirror space were separate from the closed bathroom with tub and toilet, so that was appreciated as we were a family of 3. We never heard any noise from the hallway or through the walls. We paid extra for the Lake View to have a nicer view from our window, and could see the fireworks from the 10th floor room at Epcot each night at 9pm. The resort is beautiful and large, with well-tended gardens and palm trees around a lake with fountains, so you can walk around the grounds and feed the fish and turtles, bathe in 5 pools, (two have waterslides), 2 lazy rivers, play mini-golf, and catch some shows at the Amphitheatre. We only saw the Magic Show for kids in the afternoon. Besides the koi fish, catfish and turtles, there are many types of birds to be found also, like ducks and herons, as well as other species I was not familiar with. The birds of paradise flowers were in bloom, as well as the geraniums and hibiscus, so the gardens were looking lush and colourful, even though it was late February/early March. The only negative is that food and drinks can be pricey at this upscale resort, so if you are flying in and don't have a car, you are kind of stuck paying the high prices. Those with cars can buy groceries and BBQ your own meat at one of the many BBQ picnic areas around the lake, which was a neat option for families arriving by car. Another major plus of this beautiful resort was the fast and easy check-in and check-out. We never had to wait and it was flawless. Finally, I would recommend this resort because of the free shuttles taking you to Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Disney Spring, and the TTC to catch the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. You won't need to rent a car at all if you are flying in to Orlando (take MEARS Connect shuttle to this hotel.) This was a major factor in our booking here, for our Disney stay, arriving from Canada by air travel. I would not hesitate to stay here again! It made our Disney vacation even more magical! I should also mention that because the Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek is on the Walt Disney World property, we had early park admission every day also, just like at a Disney hotel!…
