We booked at the last minute a two bedroom suite at Boulder Ridge for a a family of four (two teenage boys). It was the only two bedroom suite available so I was a little skeptical. Last year at the same time we stayed at...More
Stayed here for two nights with my son. The room was very dirty. Sinks with brown substance near drain. Crumbs on couch and all over kitchen floor. Mold in shower. Toilet made a crazy loud noise when flushed. Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows were cheap...More
We stayed here for 6 nights, and sadly it just wasn't enough!!!! We normally only have a few days with the mouse, but stayed a little longer this time and could of stayed longer still.

We are DVC members, and stayed at the villas for only one night as a stop over after getting off a cruise in Miami and heading home. This was our first time at this resort, and we absolutely loved it there!! Everything was wonderful! My...More
My husband and I stayed here as DVC (Disney Vacation Club) members for 8 nights in mid January. The name was recently changed to Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. We checked in at the Wilderness Lodge, but the Villas are in a building...More

I've seen them in the past here and other resorts but not on this past trip. I believe the hotel is on conservation land and its next to a big lake. So yes there is snakes and it's Florida (there's gators and snakes everywhere). Just need to be on the lookout (read the signs posted) and you should be fine. I've traveled to Disney over 40 times and never had an issue. Have you been to Florida before?

I would honestly suggest not staying at Boulder Ridge and insisting on rooms in the main lodge. Our experience at Boulder Ridge was awful from start to finish. Wilderness Lodge is a great place to stay but the housekeeping at Boulder Ridge is SO bad. We were given two different rooms and both were dirty.

The boat to Magic Kingdom is quite a walk from the Villas, but the ride is neat compared to the buses. The bus pick up/drop off is near the Villas, but with a double stroller and a toddler I didn't like the buses. I had to break down the stroller, with two kids in tow. No fun. Next time we will be staying off the Monorail. Otherwise I liked the Wilderness Lodge. We did use Uber a couple of times to get to the parks, such as our day at Animal Kingdom. They stopped at a convenience store on the way for us too.
