I too near your age. Parking does cost. I used the lazy river several times. I was not out of the place. Some younger respectly passed me. I would either bring a tube they will inflate for free. Or do what I did - I purchased one from the lazy river area. They range from $6 to $14. I purchased the high end. This size held me no problem will be good for most body sizes. Nice thing is they give you one already inflated. When you are done at the river go back to where your purchased and they give you a new unused in sealed package. So easy to carry back to room. The next day I brought my new in package back to lazy river and traded for an inflated tube. You go home with an easy to pack new unopen tube to bring home. Life guards are posted at various spots along the river. They keep things controlled. I did not have any issues finding a chair to sit. Some kids were have loud fun - but nothing that was out of the ordinary. Enjoy your time. Breakfast had many choices.Various prices. I brought a box of ceral, spoons and bowls with me to hotel. At the hotel I bought a gallon of milk - a little higher priced than my local markets. This helped keep cost down. Room had refrigerator.
