We have stayed about six times in the cabins at Fort Wilderness and cannot fault them. It is hard to believe you are in the middle of Walt Disney World it is so peaceful. The maximum number of people we have stayed with is 4...More
I went to visit my parents who were staying at the campground. Disney Express told me they would take care of my luggage and NOT to worry. 3 to 4 hours went by and still no luggage. Then 5 hours went by. This campground doesn't...More
I've stayed at higher end and lower priced disney hotels, but this is my favorite. Love the lodge setting - fireplaces scattered around enhance the feel. Great pool and excellent dining options. Private boat access to Magic Kingdom which is a great option to take...More
This was my family's second time staying at Fort Wilderness. The first time we stayed in multiple cabins. This time we rode to Disneyworld, in a motorhome, from Texas. This is hands down, the best way to both travel to Disney and to stay at...More
We have been to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds for 12 years straight and recently visited last December ('13). We always stay in the "Cabins" which are trailers spruced up with Disney magic! Plenty of room for a family of 6 with a double bed and...More

We took our large dog- chocolate lab to the Best Friends Pet Care for doggie day care. The price was very reasonable and ensured that our dog didn't drive camping neighbors crazy. It gave us the option to spend all day at the park without worrying about food, water, potty breaks or nuisance barking. Then picked her up in the evening to spend with us. The facility is about 5 mins from the gate to the campground. They opened an hour before the parks and stayed open an hour post park closure. We took toys and food. She squealed with excitement on her second day when we pulled up to the facility. She had a blast and was definitely played out each evening. I would highly recommend them. On our last day- we had her groomed before pickup. They did a fabulous job.

We've been camping for in the 1500 loop (pop-ups and tents) in our 16 foot trailer, no problem. There are only two loops in this price range, however and they fill up fast. Also, they are the only two loops without sewer hook-ups, so depending on how long you are staying and how big your tanks are, you may have to honey pot it to a vacant sewer site. Unbelieveably they DO NOT have a dunp station. We are always instructed to pull into a vacant site that has a sewer to dump the tanks.
