My husband and I live locally, both of us have demanding jobs. We really needed to find a place that was close to home within our budget and ocean front. If you need a place to go to to get some beach time and dont need to stay in a 5 star hotel, then this is the place to go....

My parents and I have been frequenting this motel for close to 20 years and my parents even longer. It is a beautiful and small motel with a great view and clean rooms. The owners are great and the rooms are clean. As long as the Ocean Crest is around I will always be staying there when I go to...

My husband and I found this quaint Mom and Pop motel 19 years ago by accident. I kept a postcard we got from there and recently discovered it hidden away. Decided to make reservations for a mini-vacation. This is an older (1940s) motel that was typical of Florida motels before the high-rises came to be. It has efficieny rooms and...

Our family has been staying at the Ocean Crest for over 30 years. My parents started staying there around 1977 I think - very close to the time that Marcie and Gordon became the owners/managers. Marcie personally attended to minor injuries of my children and Gordon's the same as he was back then...super friendly and helpful, offering southern hospitality despite...

My family recently stayed at the Ocean Crest for a weekend family get together and we all had a great time. We camped out at the beach all day and relaxed on the front porch in the evening. All the rooms had kitchenettes so we were able to prepare large brunches and dinners. The motel has Old Florida charm with...

Let me start by saying if you are a Princess and the Pea--keep looking because you won't be happy. This motel is older and shows signs of its age. If you do not smoke, smoke bothers you, or you have allergies (smoke/pets) go elsewhere. The location is right on the A1A, so with pets or little kids, you need to...

We recently found ourselves visiting Ormond Beach on our way home from Orlando and landed at this wonderful Pet-friendly motel. The man that runs the place was really helpful and full of hospitality. We had a bad experience in St. Augustine a few days before because we had our little dog with us. He welcomed our dog. The room was...

We went to Florida on business but took three of the grandchildren along to squeeze in a "mini" vacation during their spring break from school. We had hoped to find a quaint little motel on the beach like we remembered as kids for them to enjoy for the last night of the trip. Being on a limited budget, we stopped...

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The motel is a 1950's style beach motel with crushed shell driveway overlooking some of the only remaining undeveloped beaches in Florida. The motel is worth staying at just for its location. If you like to relax, walk on the beach, bike to the beautiful North Peninsula State Park, then this is a...

We've been staying here 3-4 times a year for 12 years. Gordon and Marcie are great . We started going before children and now have 4 small children and this place is still perfect. The rooms have full kitchens with all the basics needed.Shopping is close by for any and all needs. The view of the beach is great and there...
