Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
At first glance the room looks nice. They have done renovations so the rooms don’t look like the photos. The bathroom smelled musty and upon further inspection there was mildew/mold. Dirty marks on walls & headboards. The ironing board needs a clean cover and there is no iron. The door latch is loose. I wasn’t expecting the best room quality because of the price but cleaning dirty spots off walls and mold out of the shower curtain and shower ceiling edges. I closed the bathroom door and turned on the vent because I only had to stay for a few hours but any other time I would have reported it and moved rooms. Oh and the pillows are throw pillow sized not even standard sleeping pillows and the wifi is unreliable with poor signal and keep disconnecting. This room number is 119. I did report the issues to the front desk when I left so hopefully they fix these problems.

I was hoping this property might be a diamond in the rough after reading some recent reviews, but alas, it was disappointing. Preliminary research of this hotel shows it was severely damaged during Hurricane Michael and renovated and reopened sometime in 2022 (strangely, on the Wyndham app you could make a reservation at this hotel despite a “special notice” saying it is closed). The hotel was very full the weekend I stayed due to a motorcycle rally across the bay in Panama City Beach. I checked in early on the Wyndham app but received a call from the hotel hours later asking if I was still coming, weird, but understandable based on the tight occupancy in town. Upon arrival around 6 PM, the parking lot was already pretty full. Several motorcycles, but it also appeared that there may be some folks living at this hotel, there was a gentleman working in his car in the parking lot. I was given my keys to my room, first impression was that there was a bright paint job on the walls and the beds were inviting. As I ventured to the back of the room near the vanity and bathroom, it was apparent the room was pretty beat up. Scuffs and marks all over the walls in there, lots of grime and dust in the corners. As I entered the bathroom, the lid and seat of the toilet were up revealing some “remnant” from a prior guest on the underside of the seat…yep, room isn’t very clean. I would also kill three small insects, including one on a headboard of one of the beds. The bath linens were clean, but stained. Despite a sign in the lobby saying no pets, the sound of a yapping dog and a cat sleeping in the windowsill of the room next to me showed there was a lack of compliance with this rule. The beds were actually quite comfortable and the AC did very well (admittedly it’s May and not August), shower in my room was acceptable, temp was great, but I could’ve used another bump of water pressure. Im a diamond member with Wyndham and realize that you’ve really got to do your research because there are lots of lower tier brands and a lack of consistency in standards. Look, it’s a HoJo and not the Ritz. I’m not expecting high end amenities and luxurious bedding and linens, but I do expect a clean room and in that regard I was let down.

I checked into this establishment at approximately 1am after a 6hr journey and the desk clerk was very efficient at getting me checked in and directing me to my room. The room was very spacious with all necessary amenities. Very large and comfortable bed. The desk associate who handled my checkout was very personable and was so helpful She suggested that I sign up for Wyndham Rewards so I could gain points towards future stays. This was a very good place to stay and she was knowledgeable about the area. That is important to someone traveling through. Wonderful place to stay. Thank you so much!!

We enjoyed our trip. The room was okay, reasonably clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was bad enough that we purchased breakfast elsewhere after sampling it on the first morning. Given the reasonable price of our stay, we were satisfied overall.

The room was clean and nicely renovated. The shower was perfect. However at check in the lady did not take our license plate number or vehicle make and model, this will be relevant later. The coffee was out at 6:45 when breakfast was at 6:30. The lady at the desk peeked over and seen my husband trying to get coffee from empty containers and ducked back down. We spent all day out and when we arrived back at the hotel at 11:30 there was absolutely no parking anywhere. Someone had to park in the road. The lady at the desk told us to park across the street at Lowe’s. We asked if our vehicle was safe and under surveillance and she responded no. The license plate number comes into play here. I have been to several hotels that you give them that information and anyone not paying for a room was towed. Parking is very much limited.

Old, Dirty, & Scary. Lots of of splattered debris on walls & floors. The smell was horrible. We went to the breakfast 30 minutes before it was supposed to close and there were 3 pieces of stale brown bread, 3 kids’ boxes of trix cereal, & a few kids yogurts.

All of the staff is very pleasant to be around. I enjoyed all of them throughout my nearly daily stays between Aug 2023 thru the current Jan 2024 stays. I enjoyed and appreciated their friendly welcomes, day after day..They make you feel like you are right at home.

Upon arrival check in was prompt and without issue. We arrived at first room too find it disgustingly dirty. Blood on headboard and pubic hair on and around bed. Staff changed us to another room immediately upon request. Second room was much cleaner and bed were comfortable.

Love friendliness of all the staff. Have smoking rooms, which most hotels no longer offer. The pool looks beautiful but to be honest I have never been in it as usually to cold in October for me. Only problem we have found is google route trys to take you in a back entrance that the hotel does not have!

My room was completely dirty, I traveled there with my wife and three kids for work for one night. I checked in at 7:30 PM and checked out at 8 AM the next morning. After five minutes of walking on the floor, barefoot my kids feet were completely black. Even by the front desk in the lobby he just got that dirty and filthy vibe.
