The service was great. They have a pool indoors which made the rainy time there still enjoyable. The walls a thin so the baby next door kept me up for 3 nights, but they allowed me to change rooms since I had a long drive the next day and needed some sleep.the breakfast was enjoyable and parking was never an issue. The bed is a metal spring so it makes noise. Loved the wooded floor though.

This whole place smelled like a dead animal and the hall ways was hot as hell, and the security sucked. Seen alot of thugs and hookers out side in the parking lot. In plain view. Smoking weed.. There where kids out side by the pool and no adults around to watch them. It was crazy

Thank you for your review . We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. I did not find any comments from your room in our desk log about any problems.. Any time you have a problem please advise and if needed we will give you another room or repair the problem immediately. We care about all of our guest security , cleanliness of their rooms and their comfort. Please if you stay here or elsewhere let the desk know of any and all problems no matter what they are so they can take care of you during your stay. they can not assist you if you don't let them know until you are gone. The smell is the Paper Mill in Panama City when humidity is in the air so is the smell everywhere in every hotel. We keep air fresheners in the rooms and do use fresheners in the hallways to try to keep the smell down this is virtually impossible to do when the heat index is 105. As far as homeless we call the police on them when they are seen and anyone using drugs in parking lot or rooms are escorted off the property if noticed. Swimming pool rules are for a parent to be with their children under 12 at all times. They are largely posted at the pool.

Had to check out of a Pcb reaort when my wife was hospitalized on out vacation. This property was a great value and was close to everything (mall, hospital, lot of restaurants)

I thought it was filthy! I was traveling with 5 children and left not even knowing if I could find another place to stay. I would have preferred to sleep in my van, even with 5 children, than to stay there. I had to leave minutes after I checked-in because I literally felt sick from the scent they used to try and make the room seem clean. The bed was lumpy and wherever we sat on it we felt like we were in a hole. The floor, the furniture, the bathroom, everything was dirty. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay. To their credit, they did refund my money.

I've been to Panama City many times and usually stay in the Holiday Inn, it was booked so we decided to stay here because it was cheap ($60 something a night). It was gross, not necessarily dirty but you just felt like it was. The beds were low and saggy and the decor in the room was dark and drab. Every night i could hear loud noises from the upstairs room like stomping. The first day we were there it didnt get cleaned. At least it had a pool, but it was nothing special. My advice, try to find another place to stay!!

We have stayed at this Super 8 the past 3 times we've vacationed in Florida. It's not right on the beach and it's not one of these "super modern 'cool' hotels". It's a simple, clean place to come back from the beach and spend the night. When we're on vacation the hotel is the least of our concern. All we need is a safe place to leave our things and sleep at night. We choose this hotel because of the price! Saving hundreds of dollars a night off-sets the drive back and forth to the beach. Realisticly, it takes about 20-25 minutes (in traffic) to get back and forth from the "hub" ie, Front Beach Road, in high traffic times. The continental breakfast is just that, continental! If you don't expect the Golden Corral breakfast buffet you won't be let down. It's a simple breakfast of ceral, pastries, waffles, yogurt, and juice. That's plenty for me to start my morning! We usually stay 4 days, 3 nights and it's under $300 in June or July! You can't beat that! Last year we recieved a card for $10 off every night of every stay for being loyal customers, so that's even more money saved!

This motel was in a perfect spot. It was right in the middle of everything we visited. The rooms were clean, and smelled fresh (no stale cigarette smell). The beds were very comfortable. The area the motel was in was peaceful. Josie checked us in, and made sure everything was good. I visited the front desk, and was promptly greeted, and taken care of. She, and her staff were friendly. Even the housekeeping ladies took a break to chat us.
Our room was down-stairs, about three doors away from the lobby. That put the drink, and ice machine in a very convenient spot for us. They did have a continental breakfast. Josie made sure the basics were served there, and we left satisfied. Keep in mind that the serving area is not very big...so get there early if you want to beat the rush (several people were waiting around the waffle maker). They did provide tables/chairs for guests to eat at.
I believe I got my money's worth at this motel. The ones closer to the beach will cost you more. I hope this review helps. Have a good trip.

The rooms were clean enough, but somewhat dingy. Their "continental breakfast" consisted of bananas and yogurt mostly, with some toaster waffles or prepackaged cakes, hardly up to standards I have come to expect. The staff was hot or cold, depending on who you dealt with. We were just there to dive and needed a place to clean up and sleep so it wasn't too bad. One thing really stood out though, I am not sure who did their laundry, but the towels feel like thin pieces of 100 grit sandpaper. I seriously thought I would scratch myself on them.

There are quite a few most are located on 23rd street and there are some really good local spots near St. Andrews marina with wonderful fresh seafood and great views of the water. Most hotels have a visitors map that mark all the shopping and places to eat just ask for one at check in.
It's 20 min or so from the coast. You have to cross a bridge to get to Panama City Beach from Panama City (they're different). Not too bad of a drive, as it doesn't feel like 20 min when you're traveling around this area. So definitely not walking distance, but feasible once you load the car with everything you'll need for the day and head to the coast. If you can find vacant rooms in hotels right by the ocean, you'll pay an arm and a leg to stay there.
