HIE&S is a very enjoyable mini resort of sorts especially for the price. An affordable option that gives you clean, spacious rooms, a large and tasty free breakfast bar, a lazy river, hot tub, swimming pools and easy access to the beach. Nightly entertainment by the pool was a pleasant surprise as well as the beach fire pit. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the daily parking fee.

Second time staying here. Had no complaints at all. Staff was nice, room was clean, and loved having the convenience of being able to purchase food on site. Kids loved the pool and lazy river. We liked that the pool area is open till midnight so the kids could swim after dinner. Will definitely return!

Returned from the Holiday Inn Express last Saturday. Couldn't find many cons about the week. Room could use some touch up with some spackle and paint in a few areas. Bathroom was very large with a good-sized shower with large head and good pressure. Room was clean with comfy beds/pillows and had a full-size refrigerator with ice maker which is very rare but very convenient. We never had an issue finding loungers by the pool which is good-sized. There's also a lazy river pool but it can get a bit crowded at times. There's generally always music by the pool either piped in or usually live music from 12-4 in the afternoon. Free sweet tea and ice water is always available by the pool. Kids movies shown by the pool at dusk on a big screen. Breakfast buffet is included with the room and could always find something good. We always travel light, so we take advantage of the guest laundry mid-week which was never in use by others. Balcony was large with 2 hard chairs. Would be nice to have a small table out there. Hotel was a bit pricey, but it was our 30th anniversary celebration. Would recommend and probably will return in the future.

First time staying at this property, we came for spring break we paid almost $500 per night The rooms were cleaned. We had a gorgeous view of the beach from our room. The pool was always clean and the staff were friendly and always helping out. However, that is no health and safety program implemented in the hotel during COVID 70% of the staff are not wearing a mask, NO temperature checking, and questions regarding health and recent travel, 90% of the guests are not wearing a mask or face covering when in public indoor spaces or in the elevator and the staff doesn't even care who is wearing the mask and who isn't. In the morning we went for breakfast and It was a long line of waiting and we found out why when we got our food, the whole system is wrong only 3 servers taking the order once at a time from each guest and they make it accordingly which caused the delay, the food itself was very poor quality for the price they charging for the room. We stayed at the hotel for four nights and we found out on the second day that the room doesn't get clean every day but every five days?? and they excuse was COVID 19 they can't clean the room every day But they can charge you $500 per night and they can work without mask or even enforce health and safety program for the guest that isn't wearing face mask?? I was very disappointed as during our stay I have to clean my room, take out the garbage we ran out of coffee cups, towels and we have to call them every time we need something even when we inform the manager regarding this issue nothing changed as it was the owner decision.

I understand that she explained the IHG guidelines and why we are not cleaning rooms each day without request. This is a safety protocol put in place by IHG to minimize the contact between guests and team members. We stayed at Holiday Inn Club Vacations PCB months ago and decided to try something different. Fantastic location and large comfortable room with wonderful ocean view! Spacious Jacuzzi accommodate quests without crowdy. Terrific beach bar with live music and inviting seating with fire pits. Although fee parking is extra comparing with IHC Club Vacation, Platinum has privilege to park at front of hotel for easy access . Good selection of breakfast offerings starting between 6:30 to 9:30 am. However, they started to clean up the breakfast room as early as 9:10 am and there were almost nothing there at 9:20am at our 3rd day. Would definitely stay HIE at next PCB trip.

I asked the front desk, Keith, why my card was charged an additional $335 on top of the confirmed $1300 for four nights. He informed me that I am charged $50/night for damage deposit. So he curtly told me $50 for four nights. Hmmm....doesn't quite add up! Last I checked that would be $200 not $335.

We enjoyed our stay and the rooms and bathroom are large. The children’s bunk area has a separate tv. The room has a nice refrigerator and freezer with ice maker, microwave, sink, coffee maker, and storage. All rooms have a nice ocean view and the plantation hitters help to block out light in the mornings. We found the wifi worked great any place we went on property. We enjoyed having breakfast in the mornings with everything you want for breakfast. They have a good system for serving the breakfast to guests in the morning and are taking Covid19 precautions. The hotel has three elevators and the hotel was always clean and had a pleasant smell throughout the hotel. They have a two floor parking garage under the hotel. We liked the covered parking and plenty of spaces available. The pool area can’t be beat as you have a zero entry pool which is large and great, a huge second pool which also has a very long lazy river, and lastly the large island hot tub which provides some privacy so you don’t feel like your steering at the person across from you. They have a movie every night unless windy at 8:30. The pool has comfortable lounges, nice table and chairs, and music. No reason to get up early as they have plenty of seating. The bar and grill has very good food and we ordered to go and ate on the beach.we found the staff here to be very friendly. The ramp to the beach was nice and had small feet sprinklers so as you walk up the ramp it helps rinse sand off your feet. They also have several outdoor showers to rinse that sand off. They have towels on the pool deck. Chairs and umbrellas on the beach can be rented for $40 a day but we brought our own and a beach wagon. This hotel doesn’t have no hotel to the right of it and a days inn to the left so we always found plenty of room on the beach and it never felt crowded. We found all staff to be very accommodating and friendly and will return in the future. We also found plenty of inner tubes for the lazy river.

A few minutes after making the reservation I received a message from the hotel advising me that due to Covid rooms would be serviced every five! days. I immediately wrote back and requested daily housekeeping - the hotel never responded. There's the $30 a night activity fee and a $20 parking fee both driving the advertised cost per night up by $50. No room service means if fresh towels are needed you've got to hunt some down. Trash gets left in the hallway. Coffee makings and toilet paper have to be hunted down as well. Room thermostats can be set at any temperature but 66 is all that gets delivered. We both were coming down with colds and were chilly the entire time. In the summer the AC is probably limited to 80 degrees. This is a troubling trend for hotels which used to focus on comfort and service. Hotel owners, if environmentalism is your focus join Greenpeace and allow the proper people to provide better guest services and comfort.

We never want any guest to feel disappointed with their stay; however, when booking with booking.com, they do state while our hotel does not charge you for your reservation, we do charge a service fee as well as parking. This information is also detailed in the confirmation email you receive right after booking. The safety of our guests is always our number one priority. The message you received about our housekeeping policy due to covid is an automatic message sent through booking.com, so we are unable to read nor reply to any response you may have sent. It states in the message that if you would like to have your room cleaned more often, you can request it with us. This request can be made at check-in, or you can call down to the front desk. It also states we are always more than happy to deliver towels or any other amenities you may need daily. As an IHG property, we are committed to high cleanliness levels, which means clean, well maintained, clutter-free rooms that meet our standards. We apologize for the misunderstanding you may have received. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, for it helps us improve the overall experience of all our future guests. If our team had known of any issues with your thermostat or AC, we would have loved the chance to fix the problem right away or helped to change your room but were unable to do as it was never brought to the attention of any team members during your stay. My girlfriends and I came with our kids for a getaway and a chance to relax. The hotel staff and management were AMAZING. We had no issues with our room, the room was very clean, and our view was great. Housekeeping always made sure we had towels, as there were 6 of us we went through a lot of towels, and when we caught them in the hall, they always gave them to us. The staff was so nice. Every time any of us walked by them, they always said hello, and asked if there was anything they could do for us. The pool and lazy river were great, I loved the fact that we could take our own floats to the pool and lazy river, as well as easy access to the beach. Drinks were kind of pricey, but they were good, Every bartender we encountered were super nice with the exception of one. She seemed annoyed when asking her questions. But we only encountered her a few times. We loved Damien, and the other bartenders. One girl was super sweet and on top of it. She served us our first morning of our stay which was 6/3 and was working with Kami, but I didn't get her name. The kitchen staff were not super polite, however we didn't have to encounter them much. We loved Fernando and Bernard as well. Breakfast was great, and Ethan one of the managers went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, he always stopped and chatted with us, the evening manager was also great, however I did not catch his name. I would definitely stay here again. My kids loved the evening movies, and us girls loved being able to go from pool to lazy river to beach easily. Very relaxing and great staff. Especially Ethan. I do feel like the bunk beds could also have used a comforter and was a bit uncomfortable, and with it being so hard to get a taxi or an Uber, a shuttle service would definitely make the travel experience better for people who didn't have a car.
