The Embassy Suites by Hilton Panama City Beach Resort garners mixed reviews, with accolades for its prime location near the beach and Pier Park and appreciation for its amenities, like the pool and breakfast offerings. However, some guests feel let down by the additional fees and question the value for the price paid.
While many visitors commend the hotel's cleanliness, the atmosphere and room quality receive criticism for lacking ambiance and showing wear. Service experiences also vary, with reports of both attentive and neglectful staff.

New , clean, and great location. Walk to every thing you need. Great staff made vacation excellent. Would happily stay here again.
Beach is across the street but just as close as being on the beach. Could see beach from balcony. Wish they kept pool open later but all in all great visit.

When I first arrived at the hotel, I was a bit disappointed with the view. While making hotel reservations with Hilton Honors customer service rep, I booked a room with gulf view but was given the impression the hotel was located right on the beach side. However, the hotel staff was understanding and did give us a room with a nice gulf view. As it turned out, it is in a great location and it worked out. The room itself was clean and very nice. The refrigerator didn’t work but that resolved quickly by maintenance crew. Pool is closed early so good luck if you want to enjoy the pool after dark. Valet parking is not optional if you want your car parked at the hotel and even paying $22 a day, you still feel the need to pay a tip. I really enjoyed their breakfast as the food and service were outstanding. I had some issues with dinner a couple of times but it managed to get worked out. I had an issue with a young guy working at the poolside bar not being friendly and courteous and addressed it with the restaurant manager. Overall, the hotel is very new with a lot of potential. Front desk/customer service could use some additional training as they appear to not know what to do without reaching out to someone else. Errors on billing can be an issue. I highly advise to review itemizations on your bill and ensure no extra charges made that are not yours. I got charges made to my room from the poolside bar & grill. I have tried getting it resolved with no progress. I have yet to get a refund. The restaurant manager was supposed to take care of the problem when I spoke with him. To be clear, the restaurant manager was really nice and had looked into the issue. He informed that he was going to reach out to the front office and let them know to refund me. But it still has. not been resolved. Customer service has been no help and won’t let me talk with the hotel manager which is a red flag for me. I had planned on rebooking for my birthday in a couple of months but this has caused me to change my mind. It is not the amount that bothers me it is the principle behind it. I am paying for someone else’s food & drinks that should have never been charged to my room. The fact that I am having to make additional calls with no resolution is the frustrating part.

The Embassy Suites met our needs with a very comfortable room and bed, and a clean and secure facility. Unfortunately we were unable to take advantage of the pool or outdoor areas, but they looked nice. A lot of folks enjoyed the breakfast which featured waffles and custom omelets. Valet parking was pleasant and efficient, if a bit expensive. The hotel's location is very good in that you can walk to the beach, the pier, and a variety of shops and restaurants. Bottom line: It's not what I think of as a true "resort" but more like an above-average hotel in a very busy area. But it does a very good job for what it is.

Our stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Panama City Beach Resort was deeply disappointing, especially considering the $1,300 we spent for a 3-night stay. We were expecting a premium experience but were met with a series of frustrating issues that overshadowed our vacation.
First, the hotel layout is incredibly inconvenient, with only two sets of elevators serving the entire building. This design forces you to walk long distances just to get in and out, which was particularly frustrating with luggage or beach gear. To make matters worse, the smell of weed was pervasive throughout the hotel. We encountered it in the elevators, hallways, and even our room. One night, we saw a bar employee who clearly reeked of weed after coming in from outside, only to see him later serving drinks at the bar—a real shock to see such unprofessional behavior.
We reserved a room with a beach view, but when we questioned the disappointing view with the front desk, we were told that we could see the beach "if you were able to stick your head out the window and look." This response was dismissive and not what we expected after paying a premium for a so-called “beach view.”
The advertised complimentary drinks during happy hour were another letdown. After waiting in a long, hot line outside, the drinks we received were undrinkable. The complimentary breakfast was just as bad. We stood in line for a considerable amount of time, only to find that most of the food was gone by the time we reached the front. The quality of what was left was subpar at best.
Our room had additional issues—one of the lamps wouldn't even turn on. We also never got to use the pool, which closes at dusk, despite it being one of the major reasons we chose this hotel. The photos had been so enticing, but the reality was disappointing.
The only redeeming aspects of our stay were the valet service, which was consistently attentive, and the location next to Pier Park, which was convenient. However, the proximity to the beach was not ideal as you have to cross the very busy Front Beach Road.
In the end, our splurge on this hotel felt like a waste. We had no balcony, no view, and far too many disappointments. We will not be returning.

Today my family and I checked in at this Embassy Suites in Panama City, Florida, looking forward to a pleasant stay. However, to our dismay, we were informed by the front desk that our reserved room was sold out. After a long delay, we were offered a room that was not comparable to our reserved room. They stated that was all they had left.
To add to our concerns, the front desk supervisor conveyed to us that reserving a Hilton room does not guarantee its availability upon check-in. As loyal Hilton Honors members, this response is particularly disconcerting. We believe that as esteemed guests and members of Hilton's loyalty program, we should be afforded a certain level of service and accommodation reliability.
In light of this situation, we requested to speak with the manager, only to be informed that she was unavailable. This further heightened our frustration and left us feeling neglected as guests.
We chose Embassy Suites with the expectation of a superior experience, especially as Hilton Honors members. Regrettably, the service we received fell short of our expectation, and we believe that this situation requires their immediate attention.
We have requested that the Manager of Lodging contact us. We expect to be provided with a resolution that reflects the high standards from a reputable hotel like Embassy Suites. We value our relationship with the Hilton brand and trust that they will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation promptly.

My family usually loves Embassy Suites, but we didn't care for this hotel. For the most part, the hotel was clean and located next to very nice stores and restaurants. It was across the street from the beach and the pool overlooks a busy street. Do not bother paying for a room with a Gulf view, as that could mean you look at the pool, but if you stick your neck out far enough, you could see the Gulf. There is a $22 valet parking fee, but note there are places to park for free around the hotel if you are willing to walk a little bit. The staff was indifferent and the hotel had a very stoic feel, almost like an assisted living facility. The hallways were painted white with bare walls and worn carpet. The elevator carpets were dirty day and night. We did not even want to stay for the breakfast and left very early. This hotel was unlike any Embassy Suites we have ever visited and we would not return. There may be much better choices in the area.

My recent stay at this property started well but ended with an incredibly disappointing experience. Despite initially receiving excellent service, the treatment I encountered on my checkout day was unacceptable.
I had extended my stay and received confirmation for the additional reservation both in person and via the Hilton app. However, on the morning of my original checkout, I was told that no reservation existed, and I needed to vacate immediately or face late checkout fees. Despite explaining that I had two small children and was unprepared to leave, the front desk staff showed no empathy, insisting on an additional fee for a brief grace period.
What made this even more frustrating was that another staff member later revealed rooms were available. To date, no explanation has been provided as to why my confirmed reservation was canceled without my consent.
As a long-time Hilton guest, I am shocked by the lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability demonstrated during my stay. This experience felt discriminatory, leaving a sour impression of what should have been a relaxing holiday. I urge management to take this feedback seriously to ensure no other guest is subjected to such treatment.

Perfect “Staycation” Resort! My wife and I recently celebrated our 35th anniversary here, and everything was fabulous! Jennifer, at the reception desk was very friendly, accommodating, and professional, selecting for us the perfect suite overlooking the Gulf for our special occasion. The entire hotel was clean and comfortable, and amenities are top-notch for adult couples as well families with children. The heated pool and hot tub were great, and we loved that the elevators were plentiful and fast, requiring almost no wait. The hotel is in a great location, co-located at Pier Park, with numerous shops and restaurants, and just across the street from the beach and city pier. The included breakfast, with omelettes made to order was excellent. We will definitely stay here again!

They charged my card without my permission, when my family & I showed up the 1st night they booked us into the smallest room, we had to beg & beg to get a new room & did not get to sleep until 2am due to the hotel lack of accommodations per the reservation. They charged my card $250 for my pet + the $75 & sent 3 pics of my porch, nothing was dripping, I kept the place spotless, said I ruined everything in the peoples below me’s room, the people below smoking marijuana, drinking fireball, leaving their bottles on the porch, had cigarette butts everywhere, my kids have asthma & couldn’t sit on the porch due to how smoky it was the entire trip, I had unwarranted charges from the bar & I will be checking for signed receipts by me, they had other dogs in the courtyard peeing, pooping, etc. & I couldn’t have mine on the porch for 5 min. I expect a full refund across the board. I’m a diamond member, the people below us were rude, beating on the ceiling, had stuff on their porch like it was their home, I’m so upset I will be asking for a full refund. They never cleaned the room 1 time & the DND is on my counter. They did not Bring me my “premium upgrade” amenities (water & beer) or even the basics (towels, toilet paper little bags of popcorn, etc)……. This is so wrong. The manger even told me when I checked in that y’all “F’d” me! I’m not going to get her fired. She’s the only one who helped me! Give that girl a raise! I think it was Abby. I even had to store & take out my own trash! Do I work here?

Very nice, clean, new hotel. Breakfast was as expected for Embassy Suites. Room was larger than I anticipated based on website pics. We had ground level, 2 queen room with patio/pool access which was very convenient and seems like an excellent idea if you had kids running back and forth to the pool. The pool area was very nice with several large shaded sections. Room had slight beach view, which was acceptable to us, since the pool view was quite nice to enjoy while sitting on the patio. The short walk to the beach and Pier Park was ideal for our short trip. Since we were only staying 2 nights, the full-service price of a hotel made more sense than booking/cleaning fees at other vacation rentals. We got mixed up on where to park as GPS brought us into the back, but parking in Pier Park lot just behind Paula Deen's saved us the valet parking fee, which is the only option available on the Embassy property.
