Detailed Reviews
This is now Comfort Inn.....I've been in guest services for 20-25 years. I have good and bad things to report. The phones were never answered, either in house or out. The first room we were in was room 214 and the room smelled musty. There was coffee not cleaned up in the drawer and on the phone, and stain on the pillow. When i went to the front desk to ask for another room, she told me to ask another lady. (WHAT?! it is my vacation, why do i need to ask?) So i did and she moved me to room 232.... I saw a lot of things that really bothered me throughout. The grounds were littered with beer caps and cigarette butts. The basketball goal was broke. The indoor pool was closed. The outdoor pool was great! When we needed new towels and toilet paper, the front desk told us to track down the housekeepers...is that my job? Not customer service friendly at all. They do not care. The breakfast lady greeted me once and the rest of the time, she looked like she hated her life, but she worked and kept the breakfast stocked and clean. Also, The luggage cart has a busted wheel and hard to push. When we left, my SO went to the front desk to ask for it and they told him they didnt even know where it was, so we had to pack all of our stuff out. Luckily there was an elevator. Also on our 4th day/morning, someone spilled syrup in the elevator and it was not cleaned up till he next morning. Left guests tracking it in the hotel. There is so much standing around and talking and little working. I would advise you get a new hotel manager, or hire a management team. These workers are all friends, neighbors, family, and most of them need to go. The front desk worker was awful. I do want to say thank you to the owners for the nice room. Very nice new furniture and modern. You could make so much more money, and have satisfied guests with better reviews, if you had staff who cared. Also i would upgrade the rooms to have internet on the tvs, without having to use our hotspots.

I ordinarily don’t write a negative review, unless a place is REALLY bad. Unfortunately, this hotel comes close. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and attentive. They tried, they really did. They reprogrammed our room keys without complaint several times when they failed to work, finally calling their handyman when our door still wouldn’t open. He told us to call him directly if we had other problems, but we couldn’t as our room phone didn’t work.
The room above ours was rented to pretty active people as we heard them thumping around through our ceiling until 1 am. Sounds like they are still here tonight as I write this.
We’re fairly tolerant travelers but we’re checking out a day early because I really hate bugs. Our first clue that they might have a little problem is what looks like white diatomaceous earth powder was sprinkled around the perimeter of the room. Floridians ourselves, we get that. But it doesn’t seem to be working all that well, as we ended up killing some of the little buggers ourselves. So despite having some very nice people working here, we don’t want to have to kill any more bugs.

Looked okay from outside. Inside, our room was not so good. Floors were wet and sticky, walking barefooted, it was dirty. Toilet was not secured to floor, sheets and bed linen were washed but still had stains, room service did not once come in our 4 day break. Had to get new towels and toilet paper, room service did not collect dirty towels, take trash away or replace items. Disappointed.

I am here for training on NATTC Pensacola Navy Base, my wife had booked this place weeks ahead and they advertise pet friendly. She drove 14 hours down from
VA, with our dog, she’s a pit-bull/boxer mix, the most friendly dog in the world and a small pit-bull at that, a whopping 40lbs. We get to the front desk and they have a sign no pit bulls. I told them I had a dog and she was a pit-bull boxer mix, she had to call her manager and they said my dog is not allowed there. They should be more specific with their policy especially when I called ahead of time (a week ahead to add an extra couple days on the front of our reservation) and the lady at the front desk never mentioned anything about certain breeds not being allowed. She just asked the weight and I told her 40 lbs she said no problem and gave me the price. No where on the website, no where on booking.com did it say anything about specific breeds when we booked. Now it’s 9pm on a FRIDAY night scrambling to find an open hotel on halloween weekend. The place was a dump either way. We took our money elsewhere. You’d think with covid and not posting their rules correctly they would make some type of exception and take advantage of the week long stay we booked. Nothing. No help at all. So overall I would give this place 0/5 stars, but I can’t so 1/5 it is.

The manager wanted to charge $40 for a 2 hour early check-in. They did not care that I was a Choice Hotel Platinum Member. The smell in the hallways was tainted with paint and the smell of death. There was green slime floating on the top of the unsecured pool .

We came up for my son's graduation and this place was very close to the base. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. there were just a couple of little things that could have been a bit better. We first got there we took a shower after our 12 hour car ride and the floor in the bathroom and the kitchen area was very slick and I fell. No damage done just a little inconvenience. Also, the bed was very odd. It had a mattress and a topper that the sheet did not stay on. And the blanket was too small for two adults to share. The kitchenette area was wonderful and the refrigerator was very spacious. If we were staying here longer this would have been an ideal place to fix her meals and relax. the breakfast was closed each morning we were there but the good news is they gave us an opportunity to find a local breakfast place.

Just tired and nasty. Dirty towels, nasty bathroom, AC about to fall out of the wall. Even the roach in the room was heading for the door when we were walking in. Loved that the bed only had a sheet on it (had an emergency blanket in the car). Hotel WiFi doesn't have an internet connection. Got it through a Priceline Express Deal (nonrefundable) and the hotel is so bad that I don't even trust Priceline anymore.

I travel to the south 5-6 times a year and get there is bugs. But this place was crawling probably killed 10. Tons of differed maintenance aside from just general cleaning. I know staff is hard to find with Covid but this place hasn't been touched in years. Picture of the dead bugs I killed in the entry and stove they want you to cook on

We came for a weekend trip and the room first off was wrong we booked a single queen bed and was two queen beds. Also the hotel said breakfast includes and they were not offering due to covid . The rooms was disgusting. Some type of red stain on chair looked like blood . Microwave looked to never be cleaned . Behind the dresser there was trash and sunflower seeds . Floor not clean at all . Phone is disgusting and not clean . Towels had hair woven in to some of them . Stains and dirt in bathroom. Also construction being done to hotel , had workers on roof right outside our room tearing up shingles at 8 am . Only good thing was front desk staff were nice . Will not be back.

I don’t know about racist but he definitely isn’t customer friendly.
About 20 minutes. We drove out to perfidious beach. There were several public access beaches there plus some cute shops and some nice restaurants on the water. We even saw dolphins swimming while eating lunch there.
