We had an issue with the indoor pool upon arrival on Friday. Too many chemicals were in the pool resulting in loss of color in the swimwear and lots of hair products needed to help the kids hair. The pool was drained on Sunday by staff. The staff did apologize to us.
I also rented a “Boardroom” on the 2nd floor. First of all, I was grateful for the sales team working with us for a space on a sold out weekend. I did rent it site unseen and expecting a boardroom since that was the term used. We did use this room for approximately 75 minutes. When we arrived the backside of the door lock is trying to fall off and this is not a boardroom. This room is a 8 to 10 feet wide by 15 to 20 feet long room??? A boardroom is somewhere to set tables up and have presentations and have audio/video hook ups. This room that was rented to me at a very reduced rate of $70 is a closet turned into a space that a carpet was put down to cover the concrete floor and cheap curtains were hung up to cover the window. The exposed pipes in the ceiling and the tubing coming down from the ceiling to the portable air unit are not making this a rental. I appreciate being able to use the room, but please do not rent that space to anyone. I will give the hotel credit for turning a dead space into a profit generating area, but it needs work before doing so.
Like most hotels they are struggling to make it through COVID and dealing with what they can.

This is a very convenient location to stay considering the closeness to the airport (literally a 2 minute drive). The breakfast food was acceptable and the staff was very pleasant. The shuttle service in the evening to get you to off-site meetings, restaurants, etc. was very undependable. I had specifically enquired about the shuttle service to get me to an evening meeting and was told to let them know 10 mins before I needed to leave. I let them know 30 mins before, and was told that the shuttle was out of service for maintenance. Thankfully I was able to take Uber to get to/from the meeting. It would have been nice to know the shuttle was NOT operating for that evening.

Stayed here six nights to visit my college student - this is the third try with this hotel. The positives are location; convenient if you are flying in and out and not too far from Perdido or beaches. The employees are generally very helpful and work very hard doing the concierge and barista duties (hotel needs to hire more people to alleviate this task - front desk needs to be free to help incoming guests). The negatives are the condition of the hotel and rooms: VERY musty each time we have stayed. The rooms smell like a locker room and there is almost no way to alleviate this. We had to prop our door open just to try and air it out. No fans in the bathroom contribute to mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and the humidity issues. Wallpaper in the bathroom (and 5th floor hallway) is peeling and needs repair. Mirror was also in need of repair and the entire hotel is becoming worn and tired looking. The carpets need to be replaced as well as new paint on the walls - updated decor. The bathroom door is a weird sliding glass that does not lock and is irrelevant for privacy and moisture. In fact, it collects the steam and then pools that water on the floor. The staff was not permitted to house clean and because we stayed consecutive nights we had to change our own towels and refresh coffee etc. This was not too much of an issue except when housekeeping forgot to replace the towels one day and we had to go to the front desk. Price for the room needs to reflect what you are NOT getting for the rate. Will not stay again until the hotel is renovated and they fix the ventilation system.

My wife tripped when her heel caught an uneven place where tile dropped down to carpet in the lobby. We were not brought towels and wash cloths even after filling out the new form and placing it on the door knob. We had to go down to the front, ask again, and wait on them. Our lamp over the couch didn’t work. The air conditioner wouldn’t cool the room lower than 71 degrees, even after asking for assistance. We were warm during the night. The breakfast biscuits were not out on two of the mornings we stayed there. Also, the bathroom and door does n’t offer much privacy.

I honestly hate writing negative reviews, but my teenagers told me that it was my duty to warn everyone. This hotel is literally a 3-5 minute walk from the airport and car rental return. It is so incredibly convenient. However our room was so dirty. It wasn't vacuumed. There was hair in the tub. The bathroom floor was so sticky I couldn't lift my flip flops off the floor without tripping. There wasn't any shampoo, toilet paper or enough towels. They (3 people at the desk) never apologized when I went to ask to be moved. They found me another room but nobody ever said they were sorry which was strange. The second room was better but the carpet was vacuumed quickly and the tub still had some hair in it. If we didn't have an early flight we would have left. This is the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Was it just those rooms...maybe.

The cleanliness of the hotel was disgraceful. The fact that other patrons were moving through the hotel without a mask was unnerving to say the least. Other patrons got on the elevator with myself and my cousin when it clearly stated 4 guests only, more would hop on. The other elevator was broken the 5 days I was there and not fixed. This hotel needs to do better and needs a remodel quickly. When you don’t want to sit on the couch in your room because you don’t know what the stain is on it, that is a major problem. The bed next to the window in room 417 has a visible hump in the middle and makes an awful sound when laying down and getting up. The windowsill was so corroded, my guess was moisture and salt air? The second we stepped off the elevator on the fourth floor the carpet was dingy, the doors of all the rooms had been badly bruised, the trim work next to the door has fallen off and you could see the huge screw holes. When we opened the door to the room a line of dirt greeted us where the tile met the carpet, the mirrors in the room as well as the lamps were rusty, the headboard next to the window had a huge scratch, y’all it was bad. The front desk staff however were amazing and very helpful, it is too bad that the hotel cleanliness couldn’t compete with them.

An exception to my previous experience with Hyatt Place in other places. I have used Hyatt Place in many places and the experience had been very good, this is an exception to that rule. I gave the feedback so that the hotel management pays attention to customer service and the cleanliness of the facilities.

When we got to the room the was little toilet paper on the roll and no spare, the tissue holder had an empty box, and we we short several towels. The table between the beds was not clean, it was sticky and had many condensations marks from glasses of previous guests. The halls were never vacuumed in our 3 day stay.
Were given a sheet of paper stating that we should put dirty towels in the hall using the extra bags that were in the room. There were no extra bags so used our own - had the dirty towels in the hall early in the a.m. put never got towels replaced.
The hotel is in a good location, close to the airport and many restaurants. The staff was helpful - when told about the problems with towels and other items they gave us more quickly. The pool area was clean as was the workout room. Breakfast was very good, nice variety of items, well stocked and maintained.

Room 620. The door to the room had obviously been broken down in the past and was very difficult to open and close. The bathroom door was broken and would not remain closed. The water pressure was a joke (non-existent). The ice machine on the 6th floor did not work for the entire visit. There are no "Do Not Disturb" signs for the room. No housekeeping during the stay. Guests trash in the hallways awaiting pick-up. Check-out was supposed to be at 11am. The Housekeeping started knocking on our door at 830am and kept coming back until we left at 10am. The Assistant GM (Liz Rhodes) promised us two free days from Hyatt to make up for the trouble. Never received them. Overall a terrible experience.

Yes to both items. But it's just a mini-frig.
I believe it is served 6 - 9 a.m. during the week, and until 10 a.m. on weekends.
Yes, the shuttle is very convenient. Since the hotel is literally 2 minutes away, by the time I retrieved my luggage, they were waiting at the curb.
They have shuttle to airport and back. This hotel is just a short walk To the airport.
Great place to stay. The staff at the hotel are the best.
