For starters when we arrived we basically needed to reclean the room ourselves with bleach since the room was disgusting. Bugs on the ceiling and coming out of the walls. We used our own blankets because I seriously doubt they clean anything.

I have heard several people complaining about having bed bugs in their rooms but I stayed in room 205 for a month and never saw so much as one. I also noticed that the people from whom the complaints came seemed to be doing so in an effort to receive a free night's stay and, when they were offered a different room in lieu of a refund it was always "too much trouble" for them to move. I did see a couple of German cockroaches here and there but they are well-known for being "hitchhikers" and "stowaways" so whose to say whether they've been here awhile or if they arrived via the previous guest's luggage.... Also, in the month I was here, I personally saw a local Pest Control company's employee on the premises at least once, checking and spraying for bugs.
One other point..... it is ALWAYS a good idea to preview a motel/hotel room prior to checking in; regardless of customer rating, location or outward appearance - that's just common sense!
