Detailed Reviews
I have mixed reviews. This place could be amazing due to being on the water and enjoying beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The place is rundown and in need of cleaning up. I realize there was a storm (2 years ago) but there should not be trash and debris left in and around the campsites. The beach along the campground side has a lot of trash, broken glass, fish hooks, dead fish, old wire, etc. However just on the other side of the boat ramp is a lovely public beach area to walk your dogs. The pump out station is not in a good location and on a hill, but they do offer pump out service. It is quiet, mostly regulars. Excellent for fishing and kayaking. The staff is friendly. The campground is close to several dog friendly beaches, including Windmark. St Joseph Peninsula State Park beach is gorgeous. Joe Mama’s Pizza is excellent. PS bring bug repellent when you come!!! Mosquitos and black flies are fierce. I highly recommend a waterfront sight, the bugs are not as bad on the water and the views are beautiful.

We booked a 2 week stay at Indian Pass Campground and it's our first time here. Keep in mind, this is not an RV park like most RV parks. This is more of a campground style. There are trees (lots and beautiful) and gravel/shell roads. There are no pads to park on, and only partial hook-ups (no septic but they do have a truck that will come to your site to pump you out, for a fee).
This is a beautiful place, but in all honesty it needs some TLC. The shower/toilet house is clean, but in need of some TLC. The staff is friendly and helpful. The office/store is pretty sad. They could sell so much in there and yet, they don't. It's a huge open space with nothing. That store could be a little gem if they only offered everything offered at the General Store that is 3 miles down the road. Why make those who are staying here have to leave to go get all the stuff needed when camping/RVing. We are a big rig (40 ft) and we got a nice pull thru spot. But, most spots here are back in, so if you don't know how to back up your rig, I don't recommend it. It is tight in certain places. We are here in March and the noseeums are HORRIBLE, for about an hour or so at dusk. Come prepared. If you like to fish, you can fish right from shore or the beach. The beach is beautiful to walk along or sit for a relaxing day. The grounds around here are in need of leveling and when it rains hard there are huge puddles. There are a few hazards here and there with things like pipes and cables that should be buried but are not and make for tripping hazards.
As one who RV's a lot I will say if we come back to this area we will stay here because it is a beautiful spot. I do hope the owners put some money into this place and get it fixed up. All in all, I do recommend this campground, just wanted to give everyone an idea of what to expect.

People we're nice and the views were breath taking however the cabin did have its share of friendly cockroaches for sure. But wasn't too turned off for the fact that its part of rouging it and camping. Bed was comfortable and clean at least. Towels were thin and cheap, recommend bringing your own. But overall would stay here again, just dont feel the nightly rate of this cabin should be priced as high as they have it. Its definitely more suited to be a $100/per night or less for the quality and we couldn't get the tv to change channels either, but again not that big of a deal being that we were there to scallop and not watch tv.

My husband I camp here every year for a week at Christmas. I love this place for the laid back vibe live and let live attitude. The bathrooms are always immaculate which is a miracle due to the sand and it can get muddy. It is old yes . Are you there for the Resort or the area? The beach is amazing kayaking is great and the fishing is fine. Not sure what else you need. I have always found the sites clean. The employees are wonderful!!! My favorite place on earth!

The whole atmosphere of this campground transform you into a peaceful time. The trees and the dolphins in the bay make it hard to leave. My new @go to” place on the pan handle. Take the ferry to St. Vincent island or just go shelling in the beach. A lot of regulars bring fishing gear and kayaks too🎂

Its nice that its across the road from the ocean, but there is no septic hookups, no amenities, pretty rundown looking, and lots of areas with exposed pipes and wires sticking out of the ground which is a bit worrisome, it could be a nice campground but it needs alot of work. Also, if you have to cancel or leave early due to a family emergency situation there are no refunds and they keep all your money, even if its several weeks worth you have left on your stay, and they wont even give you a credit towards a future stay. So fyi to anyone booking there, if you have to cancel or leave early due to emergency or bad weather you will be out all your money. No refunds for any reason, which is a horrible policy.

Perfect Christmas camping for us! The campground is the best of old Florida with excellent views, helpful staff and hot showers! Tana was so helpful with our last-minute reservation, early arrival change, after hours check-in, and so many helpful suggestions and recommendations for our first time in the area. Thank you, Tana!

This place is very unique. Sits on water. Can walk short distance and drop line or kayak. Our friends got nice site in shade and we got one by road all sun which was our reason for only 4 stars vs 5. Could use some landscaping like trimming trees/palms to avoid hitting campers.
Laundry and restroom were clean but could us finished floor in men’s. Definitely coming back but will get site in shade.

I was hesitant in staying here after reading so many horrible reviews but there isnt much to choose from in this area. It is out in the middle of nowhere but at the end of the road on the island so the location was absolutely perfect.
When we first arrived, we found our campsite (D2) and were extremely disappointed in it. No table, no grill, no room to do anything outside of the camper. In the process of calling around trying to find somewhere else to go, my husband came back to tell me we could move to another site (A2). This site was perfect. It was at the entrance to the campground. We were able to walk outside of our camper just a few yards and were already on the beach. The beach.....that was another thing. I am not a small woman so its very hard for me to feel comfortable on the beach. IT WAS EMPTY! I absolutely loved it! There were fishermen here and there but for the most part, we were 1 of only 2-3 families on the beach. It was awesome!
Although we have a bathroom in our camper, having the BathHouse close by was another plus. 3 showers and (i think) 3 bathroom stalls and plenty of room (for each, male/female). They are closed from 9-1030a each day for cleaning.
Forget about the pool. They were filling it up with dirt while we were there.
Theres laundry on site but we didnt see what it was like. It was still too cool for bugs but i can see where they would be a problem. Then again, any Southerner is used to mosquitos, or should be. The No-SEE-UMS were what got us this time!
Dogs GALORE! We took our pooch and he had so much fun. The beach is dog friendly. The towns around (Apalachicola and Port St Joe) are also dog friendly, including restaurants. We were also able to have a campfire on the beach!!!!

We arrived thinking it should be like paradise as it was near a state park. When we arrived, the owner told us to choose the place where we wanted. We tried to find the nearest place to the beach and found it but it was full of garbagge (broken black water hose, rusty cans, a rug hung on a tree and even a broken spoiler. We paid 30$ but we decided not to spend the night there.
We don't recommend you this site at all!

The sites at the very end of the point face the sea but the beach is open to the public, so such sites are in plain view to anyone who is walking next to the water.
This campground has no swimming pool, but the beaches are great for swimming, sun bathing, fishing, boating and bird watching.
Yes you can have camp fires at the cabins.
Yes we have picnic tables at each site. Not sure of the sizes of the tent sites but they are all waterfront.
Hi, there, happy you read my entry on trip Advisor. No, we did not stay in a cabin, we stayed in our own tent on the campsite. Just a few minutes ago, I quickly went through the review of the cabins in this place... after reading that I was sure bringing my own tent was the right and better choice! I guess, in late September the weather conditions may be better than in mid-August, when I had been there: It was really, really hot, but still bearable due to the breeze from the nearby sea. Anyway I wish you a very pleasant stay there with no rain, hurricanes, what so ever! Enjoy the beautiful landsape which is really worth a visit!
