With confirmed reservations for two rooms in early december -21,we are rejected restaurant reservations at the same date! What a let down, and terrible customer considerations. We must cancel the whole stay or starve to death. This is a lack of planning and stupid lederskap.

Beautiful SPA resort on a bay 1 hour from Oslo with a lovely “New England” feeling. Easy parking, very nice staff at front desk and restaurants. I have tried the fitness room, the in- and outdoor pool with view on the sea, the extensive SPA, everything stark clean. Choice of fine dining and casual diner with bar and bowling. Best burgers in South Norway! My room 206 was very quiet with comfortable bedding, bathroom with English luxury toiletries. Amazing breakfast buffet with a lot of fish, cold cuts, pâtés, great bread selection, fruit, juices … and excellent coffee. Next time I will go to taste the seafood buffet on Sundays

This review is based on four visits to Støtvig the last two years, all business related. The hotel is not affiliated with any of the major hotel corporations, which is a great plus and adds to the uniqueness of the whole experience. The hotel is beautifully situated by the Oslo fjord, with great possibillities for walks or running all year. The rooms holds high standards, and are nicely decorated with a maritime theme. The service in this place is great. Friendly and down to earth straff every time. A couple of occations I have been responsible for a group of visitors doing workshops and therefore had to deal with the conference staff; an experience that has been excellent. They have easily adapted to last minute changes that I have requested and been available on short notice. I fully recomend this hotel for groups of professionals wanting to get away for getting some serious work done. The spa is beautiful, and although it lacks some features bigger spas may bolster, the design and the view makes up for it. The restaurant is splendid at all servings, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I rarely give 5/5 at TA, but I have no doubts when it comes to Støtvig Hotel.

South of Oslo, The Norwegian Fjord meets the Hamptons and Cape Cod.... A beautifull location right on the Beach , a very long Island look and feel and a overall American retro feel with bowling alley, Diner , movie theather a la Roxy and more is a Well done concept hotel we don’t see often around here Rooms are spacious and well equipped and bathroom are comfortable The Spa is very pretty and has a great feel with indoor pool connectivity to outdoor pool overlooking the ocean. Steam room, sauna , jacuzzi etc all beautiful and clean Well, then you have the main dining . A small menu and a extraordinary large wine list would give any foodie as me high hopes Unfortunately the food and kitchen is just not up to expectations, the venison was tough and the composition of the dish was sloppy. For the money and promise , not good enough and that’s a shame Breakfast buffet is standard Norwegian boring breakfast buffet with a plus for real good scramble eggs . A place like this needs their own bakery not bake off industrial rolls This place can easily become a five star experience but need to upgrade the food experience

Stayed in one of the suites in the second floor facing the sea. Great view and a lovely large bathroom. The hotel has great food and a great wine list and wine cellar. Breakfast was lovely. The spa area is great, a little noisy if your travelling without kids. Its quite pricy, specially now during the Covid 19 pandemic. Free parking outside for guests. A perfect place if your travelling with small kids
