Small but spotless room with eclectic decor-not hotel cookie cutter furnishings. Cute neighborhood just a short drive to the downtown and just across causeway from beach. A good "home base" while you see the sites. Small patio with grill in common area and a small but clean pool. Good water pressure. Real windows that open and real metal door keys....

I chose this hotel based on location and price. It was fairly comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Gave use lots of information about where to eat and what to do. It was clean, cool and in a good location, about a mile walk from the historic city center of St. Augustine.

5 stars for price 3 stars for location 2 stars for comfort Price for this St. Augustine motel was very reasonable. The location was alright if you wanted to drive down to the historical district but if you want to walk(which we did)be ready to wear very comfortable shoes, you'll need them. Also the food selection nearby is very limited....

The Manager is very nice and there if you need anything. Our room was clean but very small and the bed was a little too firm for my liking but my husband liked it. The property is a bit of a walk from the city center but is a good lower cost option when compared to other hotels and b...

We travelled from England, and booked from the recommendation of others. The owner told us that he has an 80% return rate from his customers, and you can see why. It's not a $250 a night Hilton on the sea front, nor is it pretentious and high brow. What it is is honest. The beds are clean and changed every...

We booked this hotel last minute. Glad we did because it was sold out when we got there. We were pleasantly surprised with how friendly the guy was at the front desk (may have been owner). Recommended a local bar and was very nice. We then went to our room (there's a patio on the side with a grill!). Also...

We were looking for a last minute room, and the Merida Inn was recommended to us. We were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the owners, the overall cleanliness of the room, and the level of service that we received. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel with amenities, this may not be the place for you, but if...

We were booked at another hotel and had requested 1st floor rooms as we had elderly with a walker so could not do stairs. The comments had not been forwarded to hotel from booking.com. That hotel had no rooms for us! The manager sent us to Merida hotel to take the last 2 rooms they had. Merida owner was so...

I have to say this is the WORSt hotel I've ever been in. How can it even call itself a hotel without feeling shame? The floors were dirty and dusty, and I didn't even want to touch the floor. I spent my entire time wearing socks and sandals. The bedsheets were dirty and smelled (lucky we brought are own) and...
