Detailed Reviews
The park costs 6 dollars per vehicle per day. There are no lifeguards on duty but they do have a flag system notifying the public of the safety of swimming conditions. The restrooms are very clean. Staff is friendly. We hiked a trail there and the path was clearly marked and maintained well. There are benches periodically if a person needs to rest or wants to sit for a bit. There are nice pavilions. One 2 miles in and one 4 miles in.

Our favorite experience so far! We put in at the Youth Camp boat ramp. There is a beautiful lagoon that features oyster bars at low tide. We paddled to the sandy shore on the other side to fish and hang out. Nice picnic area and clean restrooms close to ramp. Serene beach with dunes on other side of island. Miles of scenic bike rides. Would love to come back and camp here.

When visiting Apalachicola, don’t forget to go visiting a tiny St George Island locates about 10 miles away. Beautiful oceanic view with fresh air, White sand beach. 98 east hwy and the bridge connects St George Island with Apalachicola are worth the view to drive (better than the Key West drive).

Positive: easy access to beautiful beach. Negative dirty showers and sinks. I have tried to shower for the last 3 days. The same dried/muddy dirt is covering the shower floor. The faucet is grimy. The walls are spattered with an unknown substance. The sinks are the same. The shower curtains have black mold. Hot water comes out of the faucet, but cold air blows through from the screened openings. Leaving ASAP. Rangers and volunteers spend their time raking rocks at each campsite between reservations instead of cleaning and maintaining the showers.

If you decide to stay in St George Florida do not stay at Bikini Bottom. We recently stayed at this house with the hopes of having a fun vacation. When we arrived we found the house was a good walk from the beach and after the first night found bed bugs in two of the beds. Stay away! I will definitely not be going back.

This is one of the nicest beaches we have found. It has miles of white sand, some shells to add to the collection, pretty sand dunes, boat ramps, camping, RV hookups, bathrooms, and hiking trails. The rangers were friendly and provided information about the park and surrounding area. There were very few people on the beach--but that might be variable depending on the time of the year and the temperature.

+1
We decided to vacation to St. George Island this year and we were not disappointed. We made two separate trips to the state park. The first was just for the beach. Definitely a great area to hunt seashells and there were multiple areas designated for swimming so it was not too crowded. There were public restrooms and showers out front to get the sand off before getting in the car. It was absolutely beautiful. The second trip we went strictly for the walking trails. It was gorgeous and not a difficult journey. Definitely a must do if you’re here!

Beautiful park. Sadly visitors don't read signs & rules. Which can harm our state parks. Don't feed the birds. Stay off dunes & fill in holes on the beach before you leave. Easy peasy 🏖️ camp sites are nice but a little small.

Pristine long beach with white sugar sand. The most people we saw were two groups. Campsites clean, with grass mowed, wide, easy access, far apart. Restrooms clean. Showers good with a bench and hook and clean.

There are tent sites and RV sites but unfamiliar no cabins.
"Not a far bike to the beach, wouldn’t recommend walking there without bug spray. Lots of snakes so keep pets away from shrubbery."Read full review
