We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dickens House. We were in the Perry Snell Room which is at the front of the house overlooking the street. The House is in a lovely part of town where we could easily walk to restaurants, museums, shops and the harbour. Parking is conveniently located right in front of the house. Our host...

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Dickens House. We were in the sunny and roomy Cottage Suite for six nights. Ed is a terrific host and his breakfasts can't be beat. He is not only helpful with tips on where to eat and visit, but he is attentive to many details that make a stay there...

On our trip through Florida we stayed two nights with Ed the owner of the Dickens House B&B. We wanted to stay outside of Tampa (we don't like big Hotel complexes) and found the B&B through Tripadvisor. We were welcomed into a little gem which has been renovated and furnished - with a lot of heart and love - by...

This was our first stay at a B&B and it was outstanding; consequently, the bar has been set very high for future B&B stays! The Dickens House location is great, you can walk to museums and restaurants and it's located in the beautiful Historic Old Northeast section of St. Petersburg. We were in St. Pete for a Birthday celebration, so...

Great experience.. Loved the house and the food! The room we stayed in was tiny but so was our budget so that's okay! It was cute though, and didn't bother us. There's nice bath tubs and coffee hot chocolate and tea and cookies always downstairs. Really made you feel relaxed!

We stayed at the Dickens House Bed and Breakfast for four nights. The house has every amenity that you would want in a B&B and Ed has paid attention to the small details. Ed is a delightful host. Probably the best thing was that most of the other guests had stayed there before, which gave the place a family feel....

Ed Caldwell, proprietor, is the most gracious host, as well as the most talented cook of the best breakfast presentation, variety, and taste that I have ever experienced while on vacation. We stayed in the Cottage room and we were impressed by the cleanliness without scents and the comfortable, convenient surroundings that reflect Ed's sense of what his guests like...

My wife and I stayed in the Carriage Suite in the back of the main house and loved it. We booked it for the Tampa Bay Blues Festival which is 2 blocks away, so close we could use it for a rest stop between acts. The breakfasts were exquisite, the grounds clean, and the innkeeper very personable and helpful. A...

We don't often stay at B & B's for various reasons but we had seen this one in Lonely Planet and came across it whilst looking for somewhere to stay in St Pete's. It looked interesting so we knocked on the door and Ed took us in for two nights, after that he was full. And, after a night we...

My husband and I were thrilled to stay at Dickens House B&B. Exquisite breakfasts, marvelous quiet room, accommodating proprietor/Ed, and within walking distance to great parks, restaurants, and museums. The renovation was a remarkable labor of love. If we ever return to St. Petersburg, we'd stay at Dickens House in a heartbeat.
