We thought that staying ay a resort that cost $2,000 for 4 nights with no food or drinks included would be pretty nice. Wrong. Toilet was dirty when we got there, my feet got visibly dirty if I went without shoes and good luck with getting anyone to help you with anything. Furniture looks like dorm room furniture. I’m am also really glad that I read a review before I went that showed you should take towels with you unfortunately they didn’t say how dirty it would be. There is no daily maid service. They even instruct you to take your own trash out. Two towels for the whole room no hand towels and washcloths and no beach towels if you decide to go to the pool or the beach. The resort is nice but too spread out and this particular condo was gross. Like I said I expect a lot more for $2000 for four nights. Restaurants on the resort we’re OK but very expensive. For what we paid for room and food I could’ve easily gone on a Caribbean vacation at an all inclusive resort and saved money.

I was so disappointed and let down by this “condo.” First, it isn’t a condo. It’s a typical hotel room. Second, it is really dated and desperately needs some care and updating. For example, there was no electrical outlet by the bed, behind the bed, near the bed. I have a Cpap so maintenance had to bring me an extension cord to run across the room so I could plug my Cpap in to sleep. There was a clock that had an iphone charger, but the charger was for an iphone 1 to 3 model. (2008 is the last time that charger type was used). The furniture was damaged. The paint was chipped. My view was of the parking lot. The air conditioner blew freezing cold air in spurts to keep the room at the desired temperature. This was not an inexpensive room by any means. If I had known this is what I was getting for price, I definitely would have looked around. This is the first trip to Florida I have had since COVID. I feel really cheated.

The property itself is beautiful. Well kept and peaceful. I felt safe on vacay with my daughter. But our studio #6679 was another story. It looked clean but smelled heavily like mold. The bedspread and sheets felt damp the whole time from the humidity in the room (we only stepped out on the balcony once.) The lowest the thermostat would go is 68 but temp in the room never went below 71. It was cooler in the hallway. This room felt more like a Days Inn than a resort i paid over $200 a night for. Watch out for the fees above room per night charge if booking thru Vacasa.

Just awful. The musty, moldy smell was overwhelming as soon as we opened the door. Everything in the room felt wet. The furniture was scratched up and the mattresses were horrible. We had 3 bath towels but no wash clothes or hand towels. We called and were told wash clothes and hand towels would be brought to us. The next day, a bag was left hanging on the door which had 5 towels but no wash clothes or hand towels. When my husband called for the 3rd time asking for wash clothes, he was told there were NONE!!!!! In the middle of all of this, we discovered black mold on the ceiling. Maintenance came while we were out of the room and “cleaned” the ceiling. This place has some serious issues which need to be addressed ASAP. Stay somewhere else!!

So...this was not the best hotel/resort stay that I’ve ever had, but nor was it the worst. The room was clean. Always a good thing. I was a bit surprised that there was no daily housekeeping since we were in a room, but ok. It is available for an additional charge each day/time requested. The one day that we did request it they didn’t come and we had to have them come the next day. We had a small fridge w/ freezer. A few dishes and a coffee maker. Iron and blow dryer. I was a bit upset to learn that the plugs along the wall of the beds didn’t work. I plugged in my computer and was trying to figure out why it wasn’t working and wouldn’t charge. That’s when I found out that the plugs didn’t work. For some reason any housekeeping staff that we encountered were kind of rude. The on-site restaurant was nice and the food was good, but man was it overpriced! There’s a lot more that I could say, but I don’t want to write a book. If you’re just looking for a clean place to lay your head you’re good. Now, there many places to stay at Sandestin. This just happens to be my review for the “Bayside” that we stayed in.

Not recommended for a couple. This is family oriented. The room was gross. There are paint cans everywhere, everything is dirty and needs wiped down. I mean everything from ceiling to floors, paint job is horrible and paint is slipped everywhere, bed is sleeping on springs nothing is open in this area of the resort and needs some major cleaning and renovating. Not once did I see the pool being cleaned. Forget about having water pressure to shower. Do not disturb signs are no where to be found. Please do yourself a favor and stay ocean front or in leau I wish someone would have directly told me that. The bay is nice to look at but resembles a lake so it gets boring and not worth this gross stay. I didn’t want to be in this room at all.

Who knew that an entire nightmare could could be packed into 1 hours. We drove from Texas and arrived at 4:30 expecting our room to be ready, it was not. When our room was finally ready we walked into a moldy Disgusting nightmare. There was a dirty rag on the chair, the bed was damp, the desk looked like a mountain lion scratched it all up and the doors didn’t lock. There was also water on the carpet floor next to the refrigerator. The staff moved us to another room when asked but it also smelt moldy. We decided to leave as they had no other rooms available to move into. We won’t be back.

Ooof. Where to start? Worse than a worn Hampton Inn. Crummy, run down. Pics are deceptive. Old carpet, rusty doors, worn out old furniture. Wall unit a/c that can’t handle the humidity. Parking lot view seals the deal. Depressing. Stay away.

We reserved unit 6280 Bayside@Sandestin. Once we opened the door we immediately knew something was wrong. The air was hot and musty. The bedding was damp with moisture. The walls had recently been partially painted, likely due to repair. The mirror had a face print. The door to the filthy patio was smeared from poor cleaning. The electrical cord for the kitchenette light was hanging over the sink. The bathroom had fresh gel of some sort. Dirty finger prints all over the switch plates. Do not rent this unit.

We entered the room in a run down hotel with limited Bay view due to Palm trees and were quite upset. The room smelled like mold and there were patches on the wall that were not painted. We complained and it took over an hour to find us a new room in another part of the Sandestin grounds. Another employee called ua and told us it would take three hours to get us a new room. Since one cannot check in until 4:00 p.m. that comment was ridiculous. I was unimpressed.
