We are both in our late 50's early 60's and stayed for 6 nights. On first impressions we did know that the Inn was undergoing a refurbishment to the rooms, external areas and just as we were leaving to the roof. The pool bar looked half completed which was a shame as I do think that even though some of...

Spent a night here, before our house rental began in Holmes Beach. Its close to airport, shopping and restaurants. Our room was actually an efficiency with stove, fridg and microwave. This place is very popular with long tern renters that seem to have lots of comardarie going. In our short stay we learned of beach outings, dinners, potlucks, BBQ and...

We're in Florida for 2 weeks, wanting to see some of Sarasota's lovely beaches so booked an economy hotel. Excellent bed, comfy room, nice pool area and all very cheap $$. Would definately recommend. $9-10 über to downtown Sarasota and roughly 25-30 min drive or lido and siesta key. It's not 5 star, but for $65 a night can't complain.

The roof has some major damage all around the building, and we were just glad to not get the 3rd floor. The sign says it is under new management and ownership and it looks like they are renovating the hotel. The problem is the entire back area looks like a construction zone. Our room was mostly fine. We only have...

We booked tons of motels during this trip and expected to have the strict minimum. And while we had some really good surprises, this is by far the worst place I've stayed at. The hotel must have had some tornado problem or a renovation problem but there is a huge hole in the roof of the hotel. The room was...

Hotel room was very nice. Had a big king size bed that was soo comfortable. HAs a small kitchen with sink, micro, coffee pot, and ref. Had a eating table and small living area. Bathtub was nice, hot water and nice water pressure. You can tell the hotel is going under renovations. There is an unfinished Tiki Bar by the...

We visited Sarasota for a few days, and stayed in another motel first. The A/C smell was so bad, that we found this place at 5am when we should have been sleeping. We found a review from someone who stayed here after an experience in another bad hotel, and we booked this place on their recommendation. The Lantern Inn was...

I lived here with my husband back in 2013 before all the remodeling, and u still loved it. Very big spacious rooms, awesome pool, it feels like your at home. It feels like an actual apartment. Very very comfortable. Only thing I didn't like was the house keepers aggressive attitudes, loud noises in the morning. But I loved this place...

So impressed with our entire experience, the rooms smelled great, the room was immaculate, AC worked great, NO Cockroaches, friendly staff, pool was great and clean. We'd Def come back to ONLY stay here, beach close by too....
