We have just returned from our 7th stay at The Thunderbird.
We love the location, all the staff from front desk to housekeeping are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms are clean and are better now they have wooden floors

Stayed in a suite by the pool and holy cow, noise factor was crazy loud. It was like we didn't even have windows in our room. Cleaning crew was great...very friendly. Would have given four stars but need to fix noise problem.

We took an uber from Tampa airport to thunderbird for about $40 the way back super shuttle was a bit more .. depending what you want to do ( we just wanted to relax on beach) it saved a lot not having a car rental . there is a free van service that goes along Clearwater to st Pete's we used a few times but you do have to tip .
