From the moment my husband and I entered the lobby at the Inn at the Beach in Venice, FL, we were delighted. The bright, cheery office hosted an array of complimentary snacks and beverages. We waited to check in just minutes, as the desk person...More
And for sure we will be back. Everything was terrific, even though the temperature on our last day started out at 31. We had been traveling around the state, visiting various aging relatives, and decided to give ourselves a couple of nights on our own....More
The Inn is in a wonderful location, walkable to town and RIGHT across from beach. Sunsets are terrific from west side rooms. Super clean and comfortable. Great little continental breakfast included. Staff is helpful and friendly. Highly recommend

When you make a reservation online you pay $15 extra per night. You don't pay the extra $15/day "resort fee" if you make the reservation over the phone. My suggestion is to call and talk with them to get the room you want and cancel the online reservation as long as the cancellation won't cost you anything. There are gardens and a small two lane road between the front of the hotel and the beach. You can hear the ocean at night from the ocean-front rooms which are more expensive. The entire hotel -regardless of room- is close to the beach. It's a great place to stay.
