This by far was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!!!!!!!!! Nasty stained chairs, a coffee table to use a dining table. The shower didn't work and the toilet ran all night. In order to use the microwave we had to unplug the refrigerator. Bed was ridiculous. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Glad we only stayed one night.
Someone at this establishment stole my credit card number and I ended up with several fraudulent charges on my account. This happened after I had to fill out a credit card authorization form for this hotel. When the manager returned my call he was extremely rude and didn't want to listen to my concerns instead he just treated me like I was stupid and yelled at me on the phone. This made me wonder if he was the one behind the theft and fraud on my account. When the hotel emailed me the credit card auth form to fill out they accidentally sent me someone else's form including a copy of their credit card and driver's license. I contacted this person and she told me that the same thing happened to her right after staying at this hotel. She had over 5k in fraudulent charges on her credit card plus she was pretty blown away that they had accidentally sent me all of her information. This was a time consuming nightmare having to go through all of the fraudulent charges and disputes. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay here!!!!…
While the bed was fine for sleeping, there were many negatives. All furniture was stained and the wood tables were sticky. The room smelled like wet mold. The carpet was stained and there was no way I would walk on it barefoot. The toilet paper holder was rusted.
This was the closest hotel to the Weeki Wachee park and we arrived late. Outside looked ok. Upon checking in to the first room it stunk like a dog Went back to lobby and was checked into another room that smelled like smoke, torn, drapes, just beat up room. Went back tried to just be refunded and was told I would have to wait until morning. The girl was very friendly and nice showed us a few more rooms until we settled on one we could bear. The place needs a good scrub down and paint! I can deal with old furniture but just a basic wipe clean job doesn't cut it at all. Do not recommend. Choice hotels had this in their chain of hotels what a shame!
To be fair, I will list the positives first ; they allow dogs and the overnight manager was friendly and helpful. We thought the sheets were soft and pillows comfortable. My room was clean except for stained chairs and surprisingly grimy hairdryer. Others in our party noticed stained carpet, whiskers on their sink, and a complementary donut hidden under the bed in their rooms. The first night our fellow guests partied and allowed their children to run and yell in front of our rooms till 11:30 pm. The second night was much quieter. I slept deeply until at 2:30 am the fire alarm penetrated my dreams. It went off for a long time. The fire department came by to check. Not sure why the night manager doesn’t seem to have the key or code to turn off the alarm. One other discontent was that a whole row of trees had been cut down in front of the property. That left almost no landscaping up front, but the mermaids do add a certain something design-wise.…
