First time Legoland review.
We went to Legoland for the first time towards the end of January. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and spent two days in the park. The trip was an early birthday trip for my son’s upcoming 8th birthday. Our group consisted of two adults and one child.
Hotel review:
The hotel was amazing from the moment we arrived. They have thought of everything to keep the theme and excitement going. The lobby is loud and busy but that’s to be expected with so much going on. Upon check in we were able to sign up for the master builders’ class, where I found out he could participate in the class each day we were there! We stayed in an adventure room which was on the 5th floor. The distance from the lobby was nice as we could get away to a quiet area. The floors are organized by theme (2nd floor is specialty themes & suites, 3rd floor is the pirate rooms, 4th floor is the kingdom rooms & the 5th floor is the adventure rooms). The scavenger hunt when we got into the room was so much fun for my son. The added bonus was that daily he received a new Lego set when housekeeping came! The first morning we woke up there was a Legoland newspaper outside our hotel door. We went down early, before 8:30, each morning for breakfast. The food was good and they encouraged you to take snacks & drinks for the day. Arriving to breakfast later will cause there to be a wait for service and the dining room is busier & louder. We choose to go off site each evening for dinner because that was the better deal for our group. It was nice to get out each day and there were a ton of restaurants within a 10-minute drive. Parking was included in the stay at no additional cost and the distance from the parking area to the hotel was not far. You can load/unload at the front, park, then have a short walk back to the hotel. My son choose not to participate in the evening lobby activities but they looked fun as we were walking through. We did take advantage of the heated pool and towels along with the fire pit. We brought our own stuff for smores and the hotel provided roasting sticks. The hotel is none stop fun for kids which allows the parents to either participate or sit back and relax while the kids played. There were Lego characters in the hotel throughout the day in the dining and lobby areas. The park entrance is literally next door to the hotel and hotel guests got to go through a separate, shorter security line to gain entry. When making purchases inside the park you could have them delivered to your hotel room without having to carry them around. The staff was incredibly friendly and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We were thoroughly impressed with our stay and are already talking about going back in the not too distant future.

My family of 5 and I are spending our last night in Legoland I think it was pretty average I was immensely disappointed and lack of cleanliness especially where the rooms are concerned the only requirement was wearing our masks, I never saw the staff sterilizing the Legos were the kids were allowed to play I did not see social distancing being enforced and this carries through to the Legoland Park as well I believe the rooms were pretty average as well as the lobby area the only difference is they had the wallpaper in the theme in each room. Bricks restaurant breakfast was very tasteless, very basic.....not impressed. Glad we got a discount otherwise would leave feeling like we were robbed !!! Also a lot of the rides were closed the Ninjago ride actually had a power outage in the middle of our ride and my three-year-old and my family we were stuck in the dark cable car for about 20 minutes.

We stayed here for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend and although it was a little crowded, our family loved it! We've been to the park a few times but this was out first stay at the hotel. Bellman helped unload the car and they even take your bags up to the room so that by the time you finish checking in, you're good to go. They also have express check in computers, even better. We had breakfast at all three restaurants (make reservations at check in!) and they basically had the same thing but Shipwreck was the best because they have mini biscuits w/gravy instead of french toast but they can get that if you prefer, and you have to ask for the fruit. We only had dinner at Skyline but I don't recommend, prices are high as expected and food is basic. Shipwreck was more popular and you can make reservations for both on OpenTable. We got good hibachi from the restaurant across the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful also. We wanted a room on the 5th floor so we got the "Adventure" themed room. Kids loved it. Will definitely stay again soon. If you're worried about Covid-19, then just stay home. Legoland does not have enough staff to enforce these new rules but they do their best at trying :-).

I walked into the hotel and stood on a line for check-in. When it was my turn the attendant told me to go back to the front and have my temp taken and get a wrist band. Then I could self check in with the computer. I attempted to check in with the computer and it told me to see an attendant. At no time did the same person say I am sorry.

I booked one night and I paid almost $600 and then when I checked out I was billed an additional resort fee. I went to the desk and inquired as to why I was charged a resort fee. First the attendant tried to tell me I changed my reservation multiple times and I said no. Then he told me it was for towels which I did not go to the pool. There is nothing special about this hotel. The towels in the bathroom are not plush. The bed is as hard as a rock. The smoke detectors are placed in the bedrooms and flash off and on all night so you feel as if you are sleeping with a nightlight.

The breakfast is included and the service was awful. The server was not pleasant and they serve you a bowl with eggs, pancakes and potato’s for the whole table. I asked for bread and was given bread and no butter. Then I had to wait for the butter. I was never asked if I wanted more tea with my meal.

I could not connect to the WiFi.

The tv remote for both tv’s were not placed in plastic like other hotels have done when I have stayed at them.

There is no soap dish in the bathroom.

You would be better off at a Hyatt Place. This place is one of the worst and not the worth the price.

We booked a fully themed room for 2 nights (2.8.2021-2.10.2021) at the Legoland hotel for our son's 7th birthday.

We have an annual Legoland pass and were looking forward to this special occasion stay at the park's hotel.

Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed and our stay was partially ruined for the following reasons:

1) We were assigned to the room #426 and while the room looked fine, it had a heavy odor of what could be described as mix of mold and urine smell.

We contacted the front desk and were told that the room cannot be changed and also the windows were blocked, so there was no way to open the room windows in order to get some fresh air in.

So after spending the first night in this room, we woke up with terrible headache and stuffy nose and throat issues.

In the morning we asked the front desk via phone and also in person at the front desk for the room to be cleaned and sanitized and we were assured that it will be completely cleaned and sanitized by the time we get back from the park around 5 pm the same day.

When we got back to the room around 5pm, nobody has entered the room and the room was not cleaned.

I contacted hotel manager in person at the front desk and was told that the room still cannot be changed for the second night, but if we can leave the room for couple of hours, she will have someone clean it.

The manager didn't even apologize for these major issues, but instead offered us a box of s'mores (which cost $10) as compensation...which I found to be rather insulting and unprofessional.

Another issue we encountered also is at the restaurant where we made a reservation for breakfast after our first night and had to wait for almost 30 minutes to be seated and were being ignored by the restaurant hostess, despite the fact that we did arrive on time for our breakfast reservation.

As Legoland annual passholders and at the prices that the Legoland hotel charges, we were expecting 5 star service and accommodations, but were provided 1 star services and accommodations at best.

We recently stayed here for 1 night as we went to the park the next day. This was our 4th trip to Legoland and our 4th stay at the hotel. We were very disappointed especially since the other 3 times were magnificent. The room was worn down (we were in a Kingdom room on the second floor). In past visits, we were always assigned a Kingdom room on the 4th floor, so when we were assigned the 2nd floor, I asked about getting moved to the 4th floor as we liked the view and she said no, we couldn't switch. Carpet was worn in the "new" room, view was terrible (they put some stickers on the window to block the utility pipes we were looking at). We called to get shampoo and bar soap as there were none and they brought up shampoo and conditioner.

We tried to sign our son up for the Master Builder sessions later that evening and they were all full. The front desk lady actually laughed when I asked if we could get signed up. The staff was not as friendly and serving as past trips. Not sure because we were in the off season, but it was not a good stay. The swimming pool was not heated (as the front desk said it was) and had tons of bugs and leaves in it. I asked the lifeguards if they could skim it and they did, but with an attitude.
Bricks was fine for breakfast (they seated us after 3 families behind us got seated) and Skyline Lounge served its purpose for dinner. We used the mini golf course (9 hole) and it was fine. Compared to Beach Retreat, the Hotel is starting to show some age.

It is disappointing as we planned this trip to be our son's last one to Legoland. Luckily, we had a blast at the park, but did not enjoy the hotel.

OMG - what happened to this previously 5 star hotel to now make it a completely disastrous 1 star experience? Did the senior hotel management loose their minds? What a disaster!!!!

Two years ago we had the most amazing experience here. And gave it a 5 star review. We could not have said any more positive remarks. We return in March 2021 with high expectations only to have them completely dashed by what can only be described as an operational disaster.

Let's begin with Covid precautions. There were none here. Zero. Nothing whatsoever. More than 50% of the adults and children wore no face coverings. This insanity was met with a blind eye by every single hotel employee. On the room cleaning front, unlike Hilton who marks your room with a clean safe sticker, there was nothing of the like here. The worst was insufficient, overcrowded elevators again with no enforcement of face coverings. The lack of the most basic Covid precautions was both astonishing and extremely troubling. Legoland should be ashamed and is put to shame by disney, universal, and sea world who went to great lengths to operate safely the week prior when we were there.

Now onto dining - forget it. All three hotel restaurants were booked and no reservations were available for the next five days. Not for breakfast or dinner. At $400/night be prepared to grubhub your meals.

This very expensive, previously outstanding facility is now an utter disaster. Stay at the Marriott Courtyard across the street and save a boat load of money and be safe.

Kids love the place. The pool was too cold for them at this time of the year, but they enjoyed every square foot of this hotel. Its small, cousy and very well organized considering there are lego bricks everywhere. Noise level in the rooms is actually very well managed, you know there are hundreds of kids around you but once you enter your room, nothing, quiet and perfect for a good night sleep. Breakfast was perfect in the lobby. Dinner options however are very limited on premise, you'll have to eat outside if you stay 2 or more nights. There is no room service, so keep that in mind.

Overall we had a good stay here on the Pirate Island hotel side. The room was clean which is a big deal to me. The only thing that was unacceptable for the price we paid for this trip was the lack of towels provided. We only had 2 wash cloths the first night for a total of 4 people to take a shower. We called down to the front desk and they said they were out of wash cloths. It’s ridiculous to me that a hotel of this size and price runs out of wash cloths! It wasn’t only the first night, we had to call the front desk the next 2 evenings and it was hours before housekeeping would bring wash cloths. Wash cloths aren’t a complete deal breaker for us if we return or not of course, but when everyone is so tired and ready for a shower it’s hard to deal with the kids.
Breakfast was very good at shipwreck restaurant and my kids really enjoyed the master builder classes that come with the hotel stay. You can’t beat how close the hotel is to the park either. The kids also enjoyed the bunk beds and their own area of the room.

So staying at the Legoland hotel is not the cheapest option, however it makes up for it in amenities, convenience and staff! I Traveled with my Sister and 10 yr old nephew who is obsessed with lego. I dont think he has ever been so amazed in his life! The staff were all fantastic, and they really put those extra touches in to involve the kids and make it their hotel. From getting the kids to sign the check in form, to adressing the children over parents, to the disco elevator (which is great fun) and the practical things such as the child's toilet seat and step stools in the rooms. The theming is super over the top which is fantastic! There is lego to play with everywhere! And free lego to take home! The rooms are huge and sleep 5, with the kids getting their own area and tv. The king bed is amazing, I wish I could have sent it home with me. There are plenty of free activities for the kids and free buffet breakfast with made to order eggs. Legoland is literally just steps away. The only thing to remember is that it is a 1 hour drive from MCO and transport is not easy. Drive or pay the $100 uber. Super enjoyed the stay!

Yes, they are! We were there on the first day the Water Park was re-opened after the heating installation. In fact, we were the first guests in the Water Park that day, and had it all to ourselves for about an hour and a half. We pretended to ourselves that we owned the park that morning. What fun!
