We stayed in this hotel for a night and loved it....old rooms old furniture.....great lobby and people...a neat balcony on Park Ave......Service was excellent albeit no room service... We sat on balcony and watch Park Ave people traffic....a great place to drop back in time while not roughing it....

We arrived at Park Plaza hotel to find to our delight (and appreciation!) that we had been upgraded to a honeymoon suite! Our room had a little sitting area which was handy for watching tv, reading or relaxing. The bed was a comfy King size though it creaked when trying to get in and out of bed or turn over...

Very charming old hotel with few updates. There is no exit map located in the room in case of a fire and the exit sign was a dectorative stained glass sign located at ceiling level down the hall. Because smoke rises it would be impossible to see where to go to get out. Also, no GFCI in the small bathroom...

Greetings Jan T, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a thoughtful and constructive review of your stay with us. I need to clarify that every room does have an exit map as required by law, and they are located just inside the closet door. We did go back to your room to ensure that yours was...

We enjoyed our stay at Park Plaza Hotel. It is nestled in the shopping district of Winter Park and in walking distance to Rollins College and a huge public park that host the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Pros: friendly staff, very very clean, nice continental breakfast, beautiful and cozy balcony overlooking the streets (if you opt for one of those...

Every thing was awesome except for the noise of the train that is less than a 100 yards from the non street facing hotel rooms. The local bars also close around 11:30 so go out early, put your long sleeve shirt on and tuck it in to your pants or shorts and you will fit right in...

Anniversary Get Away For our 25th wedding anniversary, my wife and I took an Amtrak train from Winter Haven, FL to Winter Park, FL and stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel. This was an overnight get away and this hotel had all of the charm and features that we wanted. It is right in the center of the down town...

I stayed at the Park Plaza for a week while visiting Winter Park with work. The staff are completely attentive; the interaction and attention was genuine, when you travel with work you learn the difference between being a number and being a guest, at Park Plaza you are a guest. The rooms with the balcony are brilliant, the bed, the...

Great place. It is a bit like visiting grandmothers house. A little dark inside, floors creak, rooms are adequate size wise, elevator still has the inside door you have to close before it will move. All give it an unmatched feeling of fun. Staff is terrific, very personable, especially Patrick. Every morning coffee, juice, and muffins are brought to your...

We loved this hotel! The location was perfect for enjoying Park Avenue shopping and restaurants. Our room had a balcony, which was perfect for people watching. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We will definitely return.

On a recent business trip to Orlando I chose the Park Plaza Hotel in Winter Park. The hotel has been around a long time but I never had an occasion to stay in Winter Park until now. The location is the best thing about the place as it is located right among shops and restaurants near Rollins College. However, it...

Good Morning Chas R, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to review your stay at the Hotel. Admittedly the trains can be quite loud, depending on the side of the Hotel that your room is located. We highly recommend staying in the Front Balcony Suites, where you barely notice the train and get a beautiful balcony overlooking the town....
