I booked Hostel Backpackers last minute requesting the service from the airport and when I arrived one of the staff was waiting for me with a sign with my name. No extra charge for this service. Staff is excellent, super friendly and speaks good English. Rooms are basic, clean and with private bathroom. You won't find a better place in...

I got to Nepal, with a team of 12 in total, not knowig where to go n where to stay, but GOD is good that HE blessed us with this place, where we can stay for cheap, with neat and clean environment. This is a great little hotel, very well located in Thamel for both shopping and sight seeing. Friendly staff, nice secluded garden area. Rooms are clean, tidy, and all in all everything you'd want from a budget hotel.

I arrived in Thamel not knowing quite where to go, the options here are numerous but upon great recommendation I came to Hotel Backpackers. Raju and his staff have been most courteous and making sure that I was 100% satisfied. They went out of there way to make sure I was most pleased. When I had to wait a few...

Raju Pandey, the manager collected me from the airport so need to worry about finding the hotel. He was extremely friendly and helped me organise my hiking trip to the Everest Base Camp on arrival and some sightseeing in Kathmandu. The room was basic but clean, location of hotel ideal to wander about Thamel the main tourist area. The food...

Loved it here, very friendly staff. I met the manager, Mr Raju Pandley (Cell 9851079858) at the airport and he took me straight here, gave me a great room for a very reasonable price, and nothing was too much trouble! The room has wifi, hot water, and very comfy beds. Mr Raju is contactable any time, and very approachable. His...

We got in late at the airport and the person meeting us never showed up. We asked a taxi driver for a $10 room and after a short dialogue we settled for a $20 room that included internet. He brought us to the Backpackers hotel. We went in January and it was 5°C outside...and inside. It was slightly better than...

“For a natural alarm request a room on the inside near the pidgeon shute. They will wake you up promptly to get the early morning deals at the local shops. for better wifi (power/electricity permitting) request a room above the main lobby”

“there are three types of rooms. all of them have windows. the rooms with window to the courtyard are little bit noisier because of pigeons planing their family. the best tranquility you find in the rooms with garden window. the best internet connection is provided in the rooms close to the reception.”
