Recently we had dinner at Smith House and have been going there over 20 years. The meals are served family style while sitting at a table of "strangers" to the area. By the end of the meal you have met some very nice people and talk is nonstop. Food has always been good, especially the fried chicken and fried okra....

The very polite and professional young man who checked us in (Josh) went above and beyond; he is a great ambassador for the place, and gave five star customer service. He went out of his way to patiently accommodate some of our requests, and then told us not to hesitate to contact him again if we needed anything else. We...

I stayed here overnight (1 night) wanting to be close to The Crimson Moon Cafe/Live venue. GREAT location. Nice staff, really nice older house. Very light breakfast but with plenty of other breakfast options within a short walk.

Loved being right on the square in Dahlonega, one of our favorite places! Spent a couple of nights in the "luxury suite" over the weekend. It was smaller than it looked on the internet, but nice. It had a very comfortable king-sized bed that was so high off the ground I almost bought a footstool at the General Store to...

Our room was quaint with tons of character but with character sometimes you get old plumbing and as such my husband got toasted in the shower and then frozen probably from another guest doing the same. We still felt it was worth it to stay in such a convenient place right off the square of Dahlonega. We enjoyed the winery...

Really enjoyed staying at the Smith House! Great location to see the fall foliage as well as visit the quaint towns nearby. Bed was comfy, service great, room clean. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. Continental breakfast is very limited and only a few seats to enjoy it. We will be back next year!

My friend recently took me to the Smith House for our monthly luncheon. Having never been there, I was anxiously waiting this trip. The trip up was wonderful, the company awesome, and the food and ambiance was perfect! I could have eaten all the veggies, and the chicken is delicious. Great home cooked food served family style. Loved it.

Once again we stayed at the Smith House and it didn't disappoint. The rooms are comfortable and the staff outstanding. The only negative is that it books up too quick which I guess isn't a bad thing. One block off the square.

Thank Dave D
