A nice day hike topped with excellent food and great company. Have done this hike (1-2 night stay) for several years and always found it well run by its most friendly staff. Try a two night stay and take in a hike to Springer Mtn in between.

I have wanted to visit the Len Foote Hike Inn for many years. And, I finally made the trek to see what all the buzz has been about. The hike up to the Inn is about 5+ miles one-way along a somewhat shaded, well-marked path through beautiful trees and occasional vistas. It's rigorous and very manageable - mostly up-and-down hills... More

Beautiful fall scenery while hiking in cool weather was wonderful! The Hike Inn was a peaceful place to stay with a chef to prepare dinner when you arrive and breakfast in AM prior to hiking the 5 miles back to Amicalola State Park. We really enjoyed meeting all of the hikers at meal times in a group atmosphere. The mountain... More

This property features a return to nature without any electronics or modern day interferences. The sleeping rooms are comfortable - bunk beds only. The property offers one large men's and one large ladies room and private toilet rooms. Meals (breakfast and dinner) are country style which makes for great conversations. The food was mixed - some excellent and others mediocre.... More

This was my fourth visit and my daughter's first. She wanted to hike during her fall break but didn't want to travel far so I lucked into a last minute reservation. The moderate-strenuous hike in perfect fall weather took us up the mountain to a gorgeous getaway. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and delicious food made for a completely enjoyable staycation... More

This was our second visit. My wife and I were as impressed as on the first time there, almost two years ago. And because we liked the overall experience so much, we already reserved a room for next spring. Len Foote Hike Inn is in a class by itself in the Southeast USA. But it does not appear to be... Love this place. A strenuous 5 mile hike in behind Amicalola Falls. Then greeted by friendly staff, a bed, home cooked meal and a hot shower. Great to sit around a fire in the lodge room after supper. Don't sleep in and watch the sun rise. I've already booked another trip!

Nice little get-away tucked in the mountains of north GA. Clean bunk rooms, good food and a very friendly staff! 4.8 mile hike in/out is very doable within 2-3 hours. Love the relaxing break from cell phones and email. Bring a good book and a forget about the rest of the world for the weekend.
