We stayed here three nights while visiting the Okefenokee Swamp. It is a bit off of the highway and very quiet, which is one reason we really liked it. The campground has really large campsites with partial hookups, all for a great price. The sites are far enough from each other, with a lot of trees for a buffer, making...

The park offers two types of cabins at the main park (one type sleeps 6 and the other sleep 8). We stayed in a cabin that slept 8 and were very happy. The cabins have a full kitchen and cable TV. The ones that sleep 8 have a bedroom and bathroom off of each end of the kitchen/common area. It...

Park is beautiful. Remember your mosquito repellent! We wished they had more sites with 50 amp in them. Warning, bugs get in the bathrooms. Gate people were nice. Looking forward to staying here again.

We rented a cabin in the park for three nights. The cabins are clean and basic. We took the ranger guided tour the first day, and then rented one canoe and one kayak the second. Being out on the water is the only way to really get a sense of this part of the park, though the Boardwalk is interesting...

We visited here on a Sunday morning. It is a quiet and beautiful park. We kayaked for four hours. We kayaked to Billy's Island and hiked around the island. We saw so many alligators! Everyone at the park was friendly! We hope to return soon and do an overnight kayak trip!

This was our second visit to this park. It is. Great place to get an up close experience of the Okefenokee swamp. When we were there before, the water level was too low for the boats to make ou for the tour, so that was our main goal this trip. The boat tour ws interesting, saw lots of gators and...

We stopped at the State Park for 3 days while traveling to another destination. , We had made reservations for a 50ft site to hold our 39ft 5th wheel and were glad we did. We had site 59, and it took some maneuvering to get out when we left but the site was large enough for a comfortable stay. We...

We stayed here for two nights on a tent only campsite. The place was booked when we got there with only one site left, it was still a great. :) The boys loved the low palms that acted as a great place for "maze tag". We had two good spots to set up our hammocks and the ground was pretty...

Just returned from a couple of amazing days in the Stephen C Foster State Park. If you want to get up close with nature in its finest here's a place to go! We stayed in the Parks cottages which were well furnished and equipped immaculate and comfortable! Make sure you take the boat tour and book the evening tour too...

We had a six person the cottage for $150 per night. There was nothing left to be desired. Very spacious, very clean, fully equipped kitchen, (somewhat dated) barbecue facilities right outside, spacious screened front porch to enjoy the evenings outside. Efficient air conditioning. As in many national and state park facilities, there was no Wi-Fi. But to us this is...

“The park reservation system does not work well at all: after being told both on the web site and on the phone that all the cottages were full and unavailable, we discovered on arriving for a day visit that most of them were empty and available! We heard that other visitors have had similar experiences at other parks as well.”
