El Viajero charges in comparison to other hostels a quiet expensive price of 54'000 cop (to compare in Medellin I only paid 20'000 cop). For that price I was expecting an excellent hostel but unfortunately there are quiet some lacks here: - Bathrooms stink so badly you cant even leave the door to the room open (stayed in 2 different... Thanks a lot for your review! We´re glad your stay at El Viajero was enjoyable. We hope to have you again at one of our Hostels in Cartagena, San Andres, Cali or Salento. Yes we charge USD 18 a night, but that is not much (its the international average). And please take in note that we are more than 1.000... More

Obviously not a luxurious hotel, but that's not what it pretends to be. We came with quite a large amount of people. The receptionist was probably the most relaxed (yes, we can call that slow) I have ever met throughout Colombia, but that wan't a big deal. The only thing that really bothered me was the internet connection. It didn't... More

I am still trying to recover from the horrifying experience my friend and i had at El Viajero. We stayed in a private double room which had a safe with both a key and a code. At the first night we could not open the safe after entering the code, therefore we waited until the morning after when we were... More

The rooms are worth the price, but the wi-fi won't reach it. For wi-fi you have to be in common areas that don't have air con. Breakfast is good. Attendants are friendly. Unclear information in website.

I should start by saying that we decided to stay here based on our fantastic experience at Viajero Cartagena, and the two hostels could not be further apart. Upon arrival we were not even greeted by completely uninterested hostel staff. When we finally had their attention we checked in and made our own way to the room, only to discover... More

This hostel is terrible— the discount for staying at Viajero hostels isn’t worth it. I stayed at the Viajero in Cali and it was great, and that's the only reason I stayed at the one in San Andres. It was cluttered and dirty, the staff was rude, the first night I was there a staff member walked into the dorm... More

This place could easily be an amazing hostel, but the service was very poor. Arrived at 11.30pm to find that our reservation "did not exist". Interestingly another guest who arrived a few minutes later had the exact same issue. Booking had been made through booking.com and was eventually found on the system with the message stating the arrival time. My... More

Most of the staff show no effort to help unlike most hostels I've been to in Colombia. Bookings are extremely unorganized and you can find yourself without a bed or activity even though you've booked it. Breakfast is included and is OK. No hot water. We know people who had money stolen from a safe in a private room where... More

This is the first & probably biggest/most social hostel on San Andres. The wifi is terrible in the rooms & barely works on every floor. The breakfast is pretty good (make your own paninis & empanadas available sometimes!)...& cleaning staff is very active. They have a tour desk to help out with activities as well. The AC is only on... More
