Extremely dirty! I had to buy bed sheets and bath towels. Unbelievable lack of maintenance: air conditioning pipeline was dripping and soaking the room floor; broken and old furniture; broken window glasses; cockroaches in the dining room, bedroom and aisle. Never saw anything like it! It was like an abandoned hotel. It needs urgent retrofit.

Our trip to San Andrés was a super spontaneous last-minute decision. We saw the offer from a colombian travel agency in Bogotá and booked a 5 day flight+hotel all inclusive stay in Hotel Tiuna. I did not expect much knowing it was a budget hotel and rated 3 stars by colombian standards. Our first impression was not that bad. Our...

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. Where to begin.... First, the employees (with the exception of the cleaning staff) are the most incredibly rude people I have ever encountered in my life. They could care less about you as a guest and whether or not you are enjoying your stay. God forbid...

I just stayed at Hotel Tiuna with my wife and a large group of friends as part of an all-inclusive package. Had it not been for the great location (right on the beach), I would have been generous in rating this place "2." The hotel is older and very much in needs of renovation or demolition. Our travel agency switched...

The hotel has a good location, beautiful view if you lucky ( you can always ask ) for a see view room. Is a budget hotel but does not feel like it. The food is a buffet style ( breakfast-lunch and dinner ) very tasty and very Colombian and caribbean food which was great to try this lovely food. The...

We stayed here for 3 nights in May 2012. From the outset I was aware the Tiuna was an older budget hotel on the island and was happy with this. We paid a very reasonable price for a 3 day fully inclusive package. This included breakfast, lunch, dinner, soft drinks and Whisky/Vodka/Rum from 11am until 11pm. The food was traditional...

Arrived at this hotel without doing any proper research and in hindsight, made a big mistake. Bought a last minute package deal in Colombia, with flights, hotel and meals all included. On arriving at the hotel, found the reception staff to be rude, unwelcoming and quite unhelpful. The room was plain, unattractive and the furnishings old and faded - a...

I got there with with mixed expectations given the reviews I read in this site, but it wasn't that bad as some reviewers describe. As you can expect from the age of the Hotel, it is not a Five Star, it looks more like a classic hotel from the 80s. Apparently it has been recently remodeled, and rooms and common...
