If you look at it all from a distance, it looks good. But closer inspection reveals a lot of problems. I think they are working on updating some things, but the rooms are kind of gross. The building we stayed in smelled musty and old. AC in common area was so cold you couldn't stand to be in there, and...

Pitch a tent and sleep outside. The rooms absolutely horrible. Immediately when I walked in the room I knew I was not going to enjoy my stay. The bathroom was old and grimy there was black marks all over the mirror in the bathroom the grout wasn't clean, there were tiles falling off the walls under the sink the toilet...

I am from this area but live in Atlanta now. On a recent trip up to Helen to visit some friends from high school- we decided to stay one night here on our get together. The property is beautifully maintained and has excellent views. Our room was just fine- the beds were very comfortable. Service when checking in was friendly....

I rented a large 3 bedroom cabin for my family and it was more than expected. It would be nice if there were more pots and pans for cooking and maybe a can opener and cheese grater, things like that would be useful. We arrived on a week day and the beach offered no rentals so that was a bit...

Unicoi is one of my favorite GA state parks. It is beautiful and offers many amenities that make it a great destination for families and meetings. The wide variety of lodging options is also a plus. The food at the restaurant is always good and plentiful. Anyone who wants a nice weekend get-a-way should consider this state park.

We really enjoyed this first-time visit to the campground. We had a tent site with water/electric. Very nice. Lots to do around the area. Really enjoyed the free Saturday night concert in the amphitheater.

My family loves it here. The cabins are very clean and well maintained. Excellent jog and hike every morning. Beautiful and quiet. Wifi was weak but who cares! Minutes away (by drive, not walk) from small downtown area. Beautiful waterfall hike nearby as well.

State park is beautiful with lots of trails. Conference center is newly redecorated. We stayed in lodge B. Room was clean but dated. WiFi did not reach room. TV cable out for three days. Front desk didn't know why and did not offer to fix. AC unit dripped on carpet making room damp. Tiles on bath floor popped up. Loft...

The lodge here is good enough. If you don't plan on spending much time in your room, you'll be fine. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Outlets hung loose, the TV didn't work very well, and the food at the buffet restaurant was overpriced. But the shower in the room was very nice, and the room was quiet....

Park is well-kept overall, but lodge could use some updating, at least on the outside. Had a meeting at the lodge and everyone was nice and food was good. Trails are nice, but a bit expensive at $5 per day, but that comes with any GA state park.
